DUBLIN, Ohio, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AssetWatch, Inc. today announced the launch of AssetWatch Electrical Monitoring, a continuous motor current monitoring solution that helps industrial maintenance teams see emerging risks in AC motor-driven assets before they escalate into downtime.

Unlike many mechanical faults, which vibration sensors are well suited to detect, electrical and load-related issues can develop with little or no early vibration signature, leaving maintenance teams with an incomplete picture of motor health. AssetWatch Electrical Monitoring addresses this gap directly.

The solution continuously monitors RMS current across all three phases of AC motors, helping identify overload conditions, power transmission issues such as slipping belts or failing couplings, and current unbalance that shorten motor life. Where periodic spot checks see a motor only during a technician's visit, continuous monitoring never looks away, catching problems as they develop, not at the next scheduled check. Beyond catching faults, it also provides runtime and duty cycle visibility, giving reliability teams a behavioral baseline that reveals which assets are running hardest and which carry the most operational risk.

"When teams can see electrical and vibration data side by side, the conversation changes. Instead of asking whether something is wrong, they can pinpoint whether it's electrical, mechanical, or process-related and get to the right fix the first time. That kind of clarity is what turns monitoring data into faster, more confident maintenance decisions."

— Jaidev Krishnan, VP of Condition Monitoring Engineering, AssetWatch

Electrical Monitoring joins AssetWatch's existing suite of continuous vibration monitoring, temperature monitoring, and oil analysis. These four monitoring technologies give maintenance teams a wide early warning window: vibration catches mechanical degradation, current detects electrical and load-based faults, temperature confirms thermal consequences, and oil analysis provides detailed internal wear data between sampling intervals. All findings are unified in the AssetWatch platform, where AI and dedicated Condition Monitoring Engineers (CMEs) work together to deliver intelligence manufacturers can trust. CME experts understand how each plant operates, know its assets, and work as an extension of the customer's maintenance and reliability team.

The wireless sensor installs in the electrical panel, not on the motor itself, enabling rapid deployment and around-the-clock monitoring of hard-to-access equipment where vibration sensors are difficult to place. No capital expenditure is required.

"We developed this the same way we build everything at AssetWatch: fast to deploy, easy to interpret, and backed by expert CMEs who help our customers act on what they find. Electrical monitoring shouldn't require months of implementation or a specialized engineering degree to use."

— Patrick Carmitchel, VP of Product Management, AssetWatch

Agreements with Ameren Illinois, ComEd, and MidAmerican advance the Perry County solar project and the state's energy goals

PERRY COUNTY, Ill. and SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 13, 2026/PRNewswire/ -- Arevon Energy, Inc., a leading American energy developer, owner, and operator, today announced it has executed three 20-year Indexed Renewable Energy Credit (REC) contracts with Ameren Illinois Company (Ameren Illinois), Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd), and MidAmerican Energy Company (MidAmerican) for its 200 megawatt (MWac)/275 megawatt (MWdc) Panther Energy Project in Perry County, Illinois.

The Panther Energy Project is anticipated to begin construction in 2027 and reach completion in 2028, creating an estimated 200 construction jobs. The project is expected to contribute an estimated $20 million in property tax payments over its operating life, benefiting area schools, infrastructure, and other public services while driving additional economic activity. Arevon has established a local office in Pinckneyville, providing landowners, residents, and other community members with direct access to the Panther project team during development and upcoming construction. Once operational, the project is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 37,000 Illinois homes.

The long-term commercial agreements follow Panther Energy's selection in the Illinois Power Agency's (IPA) Summer 2026 Indexed REC procurement, which was approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC). Under the IPA's procurement methodology, Panther Energy was selected to deliver 421,131 RECs in the first year, which will be allocated among Ameren Illinois, ComEd, and MidAmerican through separate long-term contracts with each utility.

The Indexed REC structure provides long-term revenue certainty that supports the development and financing of new renewable energy projects. The RECs acquired by the utilities will help meet their obligations under the Illinois Renewable Portfolio Standard.

The Summer 2026 procurement was conducted pursuant to Illinois's Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA), which became law in 2021 and established the Indexed REC pricing structure for utility-scale renewable energy procurements. In total, the ICC approved contracts for 1.55 gigawatts of new renewable energy capacity, including four utility-scale solar projects totaling 740 MWac, through the Summer 2026 procurement.

"Arevon is proud to work with Ameren Illinois, ComEd, and MidAmerican through the IPA procurement to move Panther Energy closer to construction and contribute to Illinois's energy goals," said Tommy Greer, Chief Commercial Officer at Arevon. "We appreciate the collaboration of Perry County residents, landowners, and local officials throughout the project's development. We look forward to delivering reliable, homegrown energy to the grid while creating jobs, generating long-term economic benefits, and investing in the local community."

Creality K3 Opens for Pre-Order at $849, Advancing Multi-Color 3D Printing
Image File
Original HTML

Award-winning K3 features approximately 5-second nozzle swaps, up to 80% shorter print times, and expandable multi-material capabilities.

HOUSTON, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Creality has officially opened pre-orders for the Creality K3, its latest flagship K Series 3D printer, starting at $849 in the United States. Recognized as an IFA Innovation Awards 2026 Honoree, the K3 introduces its proprietary four-nozzle KliTek™ system, designed to address two major challenges in multi-color 3D printing: lengthy color changes and excessive filament waste. Unlike conventional single-nozzle multi-color printers that repeatedly retract, reload, and purge filament, the K3 keeps four filaments ready in independent channels and switches between lightweight nozzle assemblies in approximately 5 seconds. The system delivers up to 80% shorter total print times and up to 85% less material waste compared with conventional single-nozzle multi-color workflows.

Four-Nozzle Innovation: Faster Printing, Less Waste

Traditional single-nozzle multi-color printing can involve hundreds or thousands of filament changes, significantly increasing production time and material consumption. Building on the automation and performance of the K2 Series, the K3 addresses this bottleneck with its proprietary KliTek™ nozzle-changing architecture.

With four independent filament paths, the system enables complete material changes in under 15 seconds and color switching up to five times faster than conventional workflows, reducing the repetitive purging associated with single-nozzle printing.

Beyond Multi-Color: Expanded Material and Creative Possibilities

Beyond multi-color printing, the K3 supports advanced multi-material and mixed-nozzle applications through optional accessories.

Users can combine 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 mm nozzles within a single print, assigning smaller nozzles to detailed surfaces and larger ones to faster infill. This approach can improve printing efficiency by up to 30%.

For flexible materials, the S-Drive™ Dual-Drive feeding system supports TPU 85A–95A with compatible accessories, achieving flow rates of up to 15 mm³/s with TPU 95A, seven times that of standard consumer 3D printers under specified testing conditions.

The K3 also introduces CMYK physical color blending, using calibrated translucent filaments and controlled layer stacking to create a broader color spectrum. USB-C quick-swap nozzle assemblies further simplify maintenance, reducing replacement costs by up to one-third compared with complete toolhead replacements.

The printer supports common materials including PLA, PETG, PET, and PCTG, while optional accessories expand compatibility with engineering-grade, flexible, and soluble filaments.

High-Speed Performance with Precision and Reliability

The K3 features a 260 × 260 × 260 mm build volume, printing speeds of up to 500 mm/s, and acceleration of 20,000 mm/s². Its 300°C hot end and 100°C heated bed support a broad range of printing materials.

To maintain precision during rapid nozzle changes, the K3 integrates 37 sensors, including 12 dedicated to monitoring nozzle alignment and locking. In Creality's laboratory testing, the system maintained repeatability of less than 25 μm across more than 800,000 nozzle-change cycles.

The printer also features a reinforced structure with 30% greater rigidity, alongside a 7 dB reduction in operating noise, based on internal testing.

Pricing and Availability

The Creality K3 is now available for pre-order in the United States, starting at $849. From October 12 through November 30, 2026, customers purchasing the K3 for $849 will receive four complimentary rolls of Hyper PLA filament. Free shipping is also available for orders placed through Creality's official online store during the promotional period.

In Europe, the K3 is expected to become available in December 2026.

*Performance data is based on Creality's internal testing. Actual results may vary depending on materials, models, and printing conditions. Advanced multi-material, flexible-filament, and mixed-nozzle capabilities require optional accessories sold separately.

Prosper AI Report Finds $108 Billion Annual Revenue Opportunity for U.S. Specialty Practices
Image File
Original HTML

Rising costs and reimbursement pressure put a squeeze on specialty practices.

New research quantifies four specific ways leaders can implement AI to grow revenue by as much as $125,000 per physician annually: converting missed calls into appointments, bringing patients back for follow-up care, preventing avoidable denials, and recovering patient balances.

NEW YORK, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. dermatology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, OB-GYN, primary care and orthopedic practices have an estimated $108 billion annual revenue opportunity, according to new research from Prosper AI, a voice AI company that handles both patient calls and insurance payer calls for specialty practices. The analysis identifies four sources of recoverable revenue—missed calls, delayed follow-up care, avoidable claim denials and unpaid patient balances—which together represent approximately $125,000 per physician each year.

Prosper AI's research quantifies how much AI could help recover a practice's revenue. The study found that 1 in 6 of calls to specialty practices go unanswered during office hours, a rate that climbs to 81% after hours. Using AI to answer those calls and optimize how schedules are filled can generate an average of $44,800 per physician in annual revenue. The report also found that only 54% of patients due for a follow-up visit return on schedule. Proactive outreach with the help of AI to bring these patients back sooner can unlock up to $37,400 in additional revenue per physician.

Why are specialty practices under financial pressure in 2027?

Specialty practices are under financial pressure in 2027 because Medicare reimbursements are set to fall while operating costs keep rising. A temporary 2.5% boost in Medicare reimbursements expires at the end of 2026, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has said it has no plans to renew it. Because commercial health plans benchmark their contract rates against Medicare fee schedules, the impact extends across a practice's payer mix. Meanwhile, 84% of medical groups report higher operating costs than a year ago, with an average increase of 11%, according to MGMA. Adjusted for inflation, Medicare physician payments have declined 33% since 2001, according to the American Medical Association.

Operational complexity also adds to a growing strain. Shifting insurance rules, prior authorizations and scheduling demands stretch staff capacity and create friction for patients. Three in 10 adults say it is difficult to understand what they will owe out of pocket when using their health insurance, according to KFF. Practices have traditionally addressed these burdens by adding administrative staff, an increasingly expensive solution as labor costs rise. The report uncovers how AI can automate administrative work for specialty practices, reducing friction for patients and directly protecting practice revenue.

"Practices are feeling the squeeze from insurers and rising operating costs. They can't control reimbursement rates, but they have more control over growth than they think," said Xavier de Gracia, co-founder and CEO of Prosper AI. "Every unanswered call, every empty appointment slot and every claim denial that could have been prevented represents revenue a practice is leaving on the table. AI is how practice leaders take control of their growth—from getting more patients scheduled and seen to getting paid for the care they deliver. Before deciding what to cut, leaders should understand what is actually in their control to grow."

Key report findings

- Across U.S. dermatology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, OB-GYN, primary care and orthopedic practices, the revenue gap totals $108 billion annually, impacting individual practices by $125,000 a year per physician, which translates to 11% in annual revenue.

- The $125,000 figure is the sum of four levers: $44,800 from answering calls and filling schedules, $37,400 from bringing patients back for follow-up care, $28,500 from preventing avoidable denials, and $14,100 from recovering patient balances.

- Even during office hours, 1 in 6 calls go unanswered. Using AI to answer calls and optimize how schedules are filled can generate an average of $44,800 per physician in additional annual revenue.

- Only 54 percent of patients due for a follow-up visit return on schedule; 40 percent come back late and 6 percent never return. Proactive outreach with the help of AI to bring these patients back sooner can unlock up to $37,400 in additional revenue per physician.

- Front-end errors, such as billing an inactive insurance plan, skipping a required insurer approval, or misspelling a patient's name, drive nearly half of claim denials. Accurate benefits checks done using AI in advance of a visit can eliminate avoidable denials and translate into an average of $28,500 a year per physician.

- Patients now pay 36 percent of the cost of their care, and nearly 8 percent of what they owe goes unpaid. Outbound AI calls to patients to recover the amount they are responsible for, for care that has been provided, adds up to $14,100 annually per physician.

How does upfront price clarity benefit patients and medical practices?

Upfront price clarity helps patients show up for and pay for their care. It also helps practices fill their schedules with visits they can count on being reimbursed for. When patients know what they'll owe before a visit, a surprise bill is less likely to turn into a no-show or an unpaid balance.

This matters more as affordability concerns grow. According to MGMA, 32% of medical groups reported more no-shows in 2026 than in 2025, while just 10% reported fewer, as affordability concerns grew.

Prosper AI's research points to the benefit-verified appointment as the next step for specialty care. An AI-enabled system confirms the patient's coverage, calculates what the patient will owe and shares that information before the visit. Patients who know their costs upfront are more likely to show up and pay for the care they receive, and practices can fill their schedules with visits they can count on being reimbursed for.

"As a practice leader, you invest a really large portion of your budget in answering the phones, and the call volume still gets overwhelming. Before Prosper, we were getting 28,000 calls a month and only answering about 60% of them," said Noah England, Chief Operating Officer of Piedmont Plastic Surgery and Dermatology, in North Carolina. "With Prosper, we have fewer providers than we did a year ago and more appointments. In August, appointments booked across our 37 providers rose 17% year over year. It sounds simple but the key is that we're just handling every single call. Looking ahead, we see so many more opportunities to grow revenue through things like getting referrals scheduled immediately or helping patients understand what they owe. I want to keep my people concentrating on patients, not paper."

Specialty practices can add an estimated $125,000 per physician annually, adding up to $108 billion nationally, based on the number of specialty practices nationwide. The figure spans four controllable operational areas: converting missed calls to appointments, re-engaging existing patients, preventing avoidable denials, and recovering the patient's responsibility.

What causes the most lost revenue in a medical practice?

Unfilled schedules and unanswered calls are the single largest driver of lost revenue, worth $44,800 per physician annually, more than denials and patient collections combined.

What percentage of claim denials come from administrative errors?

Nearly half of claim denials trace back to a preventable administrative error, a misspelled name or an incomplete registration field, rather than a clinical dispute or a coverage exclusion. The administrative error, not the claim itself, is the point of failure.

How can a practice reduce missed appointments and fill their schedules?

Only 54% of patients due for a follow-up visit come back on schedule Proactive re-engagement of lapsed and overdue patients addresses that gap directly, representing an estimated $37,400 per physician annually.

About the Research

Prosper AI leveraged data from interactions across patients and insurance companies accounting for more than $3 billion in care managed, and combined that data set with specialty-specific data from the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Prosper then conducted CallIQ, an original phone-access study that attempted to reach about 2,000 practices across 29 states in six specialties: dermatology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, OB-GYN, primary care and orthopedics. For every call, the study tracked how long it took for a live person to answer and how long it took to begin scheduling. No appointments were booked. The report also draws on federal health data from CMS, AHRQ and CDC and on peer-reviewed studies of follow-up adherence, claim denials and patient responsibility. The Annual Scientific Meeting provides a platform for the exchange of clinical knowledge, research and advances in breast imaging and treatment.

"We are thrilled by the tremendous enthusiasm and engagement ProSense® generated throughout EUSOBI," said Eyal Shamir, Chief Executive Officer of IceCure Medical. "From live demonstrations and two key scientific sessions to two workshops attended by nearly 70 participants each, the response was outstanding. The inclusion of ProSense® in scientific posters and the presentation of encouraging 12-month clinical results further demonstrate the growing momentum behind breast cancer cryoablation and the expanding role of ProSense® in advancing minimally invasive care across Europe."

Stout Acquires Flightline to Advance Its AI Strategy

Acquisition builds on more than 12+ months of co-development and brings agentic AI technology and expertise into Stout

CHICAGO, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Stout announced the acquisition of Flightline, an agentic AI company that collaborated with Stout for more than 12+ months to develop AI-enabled workflows for complex professional services. The acquisition brings Flightline's technology and AI engineering expertise into Stout as the firm builds an AI-enabled workbench around how its professionals perform research, analyze information, and advise clients.

Stout and Flightline have developed the technology inside real client workflows, giving the teams a practical way to test how agentic AI can augment their work. The broader objective is to build AI into the way that Stout professionals work, creating more capacity to spend time on and go deeper into the questions that require experience, judgment, and client interaction, and to bring greater depth of analysis and insight to client work.

"We are investing significantly in AI because we believe it improves the quality and speed of the work we deliver to our clients by allowing teams to analyze more information, identify insights faster, and spend more time on the areas where our expertise and judgment have the greatest impact," said Cory Thompson, Co-Chief Client Service Officer at Stout. "We are applying AI and technology-enabled workflows in real client situations to improve outcomes for our clients."

Flightline's agentic technology breaks complex work into structured workflows that can support research, analysis, and the development of evidence-backed conclusions. Stout professionals continue to direct the work and remain accountable for the advice delivered to clients. Over time, Stout plans to use what it learns from these workflows to inform applications across its advisory work.

"Our goal has been to bring the lab to the field," said Stuart Ferguson, President of Stout Strategy. "The value of AI in professional services becomes clear when it is used in real workflows. Putting Flightline in the hands of our practitioners gives us a direct feedback loop between our professionals and technology to shape the AI-enabled workbench that will support how our people work in the future."

Commercial diligence has served as an early proving ground for Flightline, drawing on Stout Strategy's experience across more than 1,000 buy-side diligence engagements. The lessons that Stout gathered from that work are helping shape a broader AI-enabled workbench designed to support how its professionals move from information to insight while preserving the judgment and accountability that clients expect.

"We built Flightline so professionals and AI agents can collaborate, delivering consistent quality and greater efficiency in every engagement," said David DeMasi, Head of AI in Stout Strategy. "But the final deliverable is only as good as the data and the team that drives it. This acquisition accelerates our vision by connecting the technology directly with Stout's institutional knowledge and high-caliber professionals."

symplr's Compass Survey Finds Nearly Half of Healthcare Operations Remain Manual
Image File
Original HTML

Healthcare professionals and leaders report spending 86 minutes a day on administrative tasks they believe AI could reduce

HOUSTON, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Most hospital and health system operations remain manual, according to the fifth annual Compass Survey from symplr, a leading provider of enterprise healthcare operations software. Among clinicians, operations, and IT professionals, 40% to 46% say core processes such as credentialing, contract management, workforce scheduling and supply chain management are fully manual. Just 2% to 6% describe them as fully automated.

Administrative burden continues to consume significant time as a result. Respondents report spending an average of 86 minutes per day on administrative tasks they believe AI could eliminate or significantly reduce. The number is even higher among directors and managers, who say they spend 106 minutes a day, roughly a fifth of the workday, on tasks they believe AI could handle.

"Healthcare has spent years adding technology, tools and workarounds to manage operational complexity," said Venkat Kavarthapu, Chief Executive Officer at symplr. "AI can help reduce that burden, but deploying AI on top of fragmented data and manual workflows won't transform healthcare operations. The opportunity is to use technology to remove friction across systems, processes and teams so people spend less time managing the work around healthcare and more time on the work that matters."

The pressure to prove returns on AI investments is growing, with Bain & Company and KLAS finding potential ROI to be an average of 3.5X. Yet the Compass Survey finds many hospitals are still missing the fundamentals needed to get there, including alignment between clinicians and leadership, comprehensive AI governance, and metrics to evaluate performance.

Key findings from this year's Compass Survey:

- Executives and IT leaders agree on the top threat. Clinicians don't. Financial pressure ranks as the top threat to their organization's operations among 65% of C-suite/VP respondents and 45% of IT respondents, while nearly half of clinicians (46%) rank burnout first, the same position it has held since 2023.

- AI governance is uneven across the organization. Only 26% of all respondents report a comprehensive AI policy that is actively enforced. More than half of clinicians (51%) say they're unsure whether an AI policy exists, while executives are far more certain, with just 3% saying they don't know if their organization has a policy.

- Deployment of emerging technology moves faster than measurement and training. Twenty-one percent say their organization has deployed AI without establishing metrics to evaluate it. Meanwhile, just 3% name staff development and change management as their organization's primary strategy for addressing operational challenges, compared with 27% who name AI deployment.

- Nearly half of respondents say foundational workflows remain fully manual. This includes provider credentialing, onboarding and contract management (46% each), supply chain and vendor management (44%), provider evaluation (43%), workforce scheduling (41%), and safety performance (40%). Yet nearly 60% of respondents say their organizations are pursuing operational efficiency and automation initiatives.

Methodology: For the fifth annual symplr Compass Survey, symplr partnered with the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), the professional organization dedicated to serving CIOs, CMIOs, CNIOs, chief digital officers, and other senior healthcare IT leaders. The online survey was fielded between June 1 and July 17, 2026, with 146 respondents across clinical, IT, and operational roles at U.S. hospitals and health systems.
