Alliance aims to accelerate digital transformation for contracting and supplier management across global enterprises

NEW YORK and LEHI, UTAH, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte Tax LLP ("Deloitte") and Sirion today announced a strategic US alliance to help organizations transform how they manage contract obligations and supplier relationships across the enterprise. The alliance combines Deloitte's Legal Business Services (LBS) transformation experience with Sirion's advanced, AI-powered Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform to streamline contracting processes, enhance visibility into contractual performance and help enable greater value for enterprises embarking on contracting technology transformations.

Deloitte and Sirion are expanding their collaboration on integrated AI-powered solutions that provide deeper visibility into commercial terms, supplier relationship data and contractual compliance across complex global supply chains. The alliance may also help connect contract data with broader enterprise systems including procurement, finance and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms. These capabilities are increasingly critical for a global organization's digital core as CLM becomes a core consideration in ERP transformation projects.

"As organizations accelerate their digital transformation journeys, the ability to manage contracts intelligently has become a strategic imperative, not just for legal teams, but for tax, finance, procurement and the broader enterprise," said Carin Giuliante, chair and CEO, Deloitte Tax LLP. "By combining Deloitte's deep experience in legal business services with Sirion's AI-powered platform, we're helping organizations unlock new levels of transparency, automation and control across their global operations. This alliance is about reimagining contract management as a driver of business value, insight, and risk mitigation in an increasingly complex world."

"Sirion's AI-first platform was built to handle the complexity of global supply chains and financial relationships," said Ajay Agrawal, CEO, Sirion. "Our alliance with Deloitte may help organizations harness the power of AI to promote contract compliance, enhance supplier performance and assist broader technology transformations, including ERP initiatives."

"Contract lifecycle management is rapidly evolving from a back-office function to a strategic enabler of business transformation," said Mark Ross, US Sirion alliance leader and Legal Business Services growth and markets leader, Deloitte Tax LLP. "By deepening our collaboration with Sirion, we are helping empower clients to unlock the full potential of their contract data, streamline supplier and customer relationships and drive measurable outcomes across tax, legal and finance functions."

MacPaw launches Eney, the proactive AI assistant that lives on your Mac and iPhone and handles everyday tasks

Eney understands what is happening across your apps, files and system, prepares the next step, and asks before it acts.

BOSTON, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MacPaw, a global AI technology company, today launched Eney, a proactive AI assistant that lives on Mac and iPhone. Unlike other AI assistants, Eney is built for the Mac: it understands the context of the machine itself — the apps you work across, the files on your disk, the meetings on your calendar — and spots what needs attention before you do. A call about to start. A meeting that needs a summary. A disk running out of space. Eney notices, prepares the next step, and puts it in front of you for approval, without the need to switch between multiple apps, tools and products.

MacPaw sees Eney becoming the universal interface for how you work on your Mac — one place where everything connects, tasks get done, and work keeps moving forward.

Eney is built for anyone on Mac and iPhone whose day fills up with work that shouldn't take this long — chasing a document, catching up on threads, prepping for a call that starts in an hour. Freelancers, assistants, managers, busy people carrying too much in their heads. It handles the tasks, with less for you to remember and chase. No complicated setup or AI know-how. Just ask and skip to done.

Eney arrives in a year defined by AI agents that act on their own. Adoption isn't the problem — trust is. In MacPaw's own research, 81% of US Mac users had used an AI tool in the previous three months, but only 39% said AI was embedded in how they work. Eney is built for that gap: proactive, never autonomous. By default, Eney asks before it sends a message, changes an event or moves a file — and you decide how much it can do on its own. (MacPaw research, US Mac users, July–August 2026.)

"Since 2008, MacPaw has built tools that take care of the Mac. Eney takes the next step: not a chatbot, but a careful colleague — an assistant that lives on your Mac and iPhone and takes care of the work you do on them. It spots what's waiting, prepares the next step, and asks before anything is sent or changed," said Oleksandr Kosovan, Founder and CEO of MacPaw.

Built on MacPaw's own AI stack

Eney is the first product to be powered by MacPaw's own AI stack — AI technology the company builds and owns as it evolves its standalone products into a connected ecosystem. At its core is Mnemos, MacPaw's memory layer for AI. Eney remembers what matters to you, updates a fact when you correct it or it goes out of date, and shows you when an answer draws on something it remembered. Mnemos manages only Eney's own memory: it never reads or changes your files or other apps.

How Eney works

Eney lives on your Mac, not in a browser tab. So the assistant that drafts your reply can also tell you what's filling up your disk. For example, Eney can recognize an upcoming meeting on your calendar and remind you before it starts. When the call begins, it can offer to transcribe the conversation, then prepare meeting notes, action items and a follow-up invitation for your approval. What would normally require moving between several apps can be handled through one assistant.

- Help before you ask. Copy something and Eney offers the next step: a summary, a currency or time-zone conversion, a translation. It reminds you before calls, too.

- Your apps, connected in one place. Eney works with Apple Mail, Calendar and Reminders out of the box, and connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, Notion, Jira, Linear and more. New connectors are added regularly.

- Meeting notes, no bot in the call. When a call starts in any app, Eney offers to transcribe it and write up the notes. Afterward, it drafts the tasks, the recap and the next invite, ready for you to send.

- Eney Wand. Press Option-W, drag over anything on screen, and Eney offers what to do with it: translate text in place, convert a price, turn a date into a calendar event, copy the text out of an image, or blur what shouldn't be shared. No screenshots to save, no switching apps.

- Ready-made workflows. Morning Brief, Plan My Day, Weekly Review and more, run on demand or on a schedule. Setup takes a few simple clicks, with no technical configuration.

- Mac care, built in. Eney warns about low disk space, memory pressure and apps that keep crashing, and suggests a fix. It keeps Downloads tidy and finds any file in seconds. Nothing moves until you confirm — the kind of care MacPaw has built since 2008.

- Writing checked where you write. Eney Spell fixes spelling, grammar and wording right in Mail, Slack, Notes or the browser.

- Talk or type. Double-tap Option to open Eney from anywhere, then type text or speak to it. Eney works in eight languages, including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese and Ukrainian.

People talk to it naturally, without complicated prompts, technical language or workflow-building knowledge — one instruction can turn into a completed task.

Get started with Eney

Eney by MacPaw is available now for Mac at the website eney.ai and is free to try for your first 14 days with 10,000 AI credits. Eney is also available for iPhone on the App Store.

Users can also sign in with a Setapp account (Setapp membership isn't required). It needs macOS 15 or later, and Setapp AI credits (credits show as Setapp AI credits in Settings > Usage).

By expanding our footprint today, we are creating opportunities to bring even more advanced services, clinical expertise, and research opportunities to patients in the years ahead."

As Virginia Cancer Specialists continues to expand its nationally recognized research program, starting in 2027, the site is positioned to support broader participation in clinical trials and provide local patients with access to emerging therapies and innovative treatment options.

"Our mission has always been to provide patients with the highest quality cancer care in the communities where they live," said Jey A. Maran, MD, Practice President of Virginia Cancer Specialists, who sees patients in the Bristow and Fauquier locations. "This expanded facility allows us to better serve patients today while preparing for tomorrow's innovations. We are excited about the opportunities ahead, including expanding access to clinical research and continuing to bring leading-edge treatments to our community."

The new Fauquier office, located at 410 Rosedale Court, Suite 270, Warrenton, VA, 20186, reflects Virginia Cancer Specialists' continued investment in community-based oncology care and reinforces its reputation as Virginia's #1 cancer practice, as ranked by Castle Connolly, whose Top Doctors represent the top 7% of all US practicing physicians. Enterprise AI enters risk management phase as security concerns rise, CompTIA research finds

Companies are increasingly discovering that the challenge with AI is no longer adoption, but execution

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As artificial intelligence (AI) expands into core business operations, attention is shifting from adoption to execution risk, according to research and analysis from CompTIA.

Governance, cybersecurity and workforce readiness are emerging as critical factors in determining whether AI initiatives deliver long-term business value, CompTIA's new research brief "Practical Implications of AI Safety" finds.

"Enterprise AI has entered a new stage of maturity," said Seth Robinson, vice president, research, CompTIA. " Effective governance structures, strong cybersecurity practices and workforce readiness are becoming central requirements for successful deployment and long-term success."

About six in 10 organizations are shifting from experimentation and individual productivity use cases toward enterprise-wide implementation, according to CompTIA's "Corporate AI Adoption" report. The same survey found that cybersecurity concerns rank as the second-largest challenge to AI adoption, behind only finding the right balance between human employees and AI-powered tools and agents.

The need for security-related elements within organizational AI policies is widely acknowledged. Among companies surveyed by CompTIA, 98% cited the importance of risk management; 96%, data protection and privacy; and 95%, governance. On the investment front, 48% of organizations say cybersecurity will be a key focus of their AI spending – the same percentage as planned investment in employee AI training.

CompTIA has identified three priorities as businesses navigate the next phase of AI adoption.

- Align AI strategy with existing governance frameworks. Organizations should build AI policies and decision-making processes on the foundation of existing governance, compliance and risk-management practices.

- Build resilient decision-making structures. Cross-functional collaboration among IT, security, legal, compliance and business stakeholders can help organizations adapt as AI technologies, regulations and best practices evolve.

- Invest in workforce readiness. Successful AI implementation depends on both technical and organizational capabilities. Companies must address AI and cybersecurity skill gaps while strengthening foundational technology competencies.

"AI safety, governance and workforce development are becoming competitive advantages rather than compliance exercises," Robinson said. "Organizations that approach AI with the same discipline they apply to cybersecurity and digital transformation will be better positioned to capture business value while managing emerging risks."

The "Practical Implications of AI Safety" research brief is available here.

Cetera Welcomes Financial Advisor Michele Johnson and Her Elevated Wealth Solutions Practice from LPL

Independent advisor joins Cetera in search of greater support and resources to strengthen her

relationship-driven practice, centered on family-like service and helping clients achieve peace of mind

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Cetera welcomes financial advisor Michele Johnson, CFP®, who joins with her practice, Elevated Wealth Solutions, overseeing approximately $80 million in AUA1. The Willoughby, Ohio-based practice comes to Cetera from LPL and aligns with Prosperity Advisors, an independent wealth management firm that is one of the largest businesses within the Cetera Advisors community.

Founded in 2023, Elevated Wealth Solutions serves individuals at every stage of life, focusing on retirement strategies, income replacement and wealth planning. Supporting the practice's day-to-day operations is office manager Alison Marrie, who has been with the team for more than a year and is the first voice clients hear when they call.

Johnson is especially passionate about helping women feel more confident about their finances; her passion for helping women took root early in her career, with a defining moment that still guides her work today.

"I had a client, a widow, who sat in my office and said, 'I don't know what any of this means.' That was my aha moment", she said. "I'm here to help women understand their finances."

After 8 years affiliated with LPL, Johnson began exploring other broker-dealers in search of stronger support and better resources. Committed to helping people feel peace of mind about their future, Johnson said she is looking forward to having access to more robust tools, including tax and 401(k) planning, to deliver on that commitment. She said that together, Prosperity Advisors and Cetera offer the kind of environment she wanted, one that echoes where she got her start.

"What stood out to me was hearing that it's a family," she said. "The practice where I got my start in this business felt like a family, and that's what I was trying to recreate."

Relationships sit at the center of Johnson's approach.

"I truly believe the relationship with your advisor is the most important thing. I want to be the advisor who gets invited to the weddings and the birthday parties," she said. "We're in a world where it seems like everybody's trying to take from everyone else, and I want to be the person who helps people feel better about their financial future."

With plans to bring on a junior advisor in the coming months, Johnson is excited for the next chapter with Cetera and to continue growing Elevated Wealth Solutions. She looks forward to deepening her client relationships and extending them to their children and grandchildren.

In welcoming Johnson, Cetera Advisor Channel Leader Tom Halloran said, "Michele has a gift for meeting people where they are and helping them feel confident about their financial future. Her passion for guiding women through important decisions is clear, and so is her commitment to the families she serves. We're honored she chose Cetera, and we're excited to support her as she grows in this next chapter."

The rolling stock market is driven by the expansion and modernization of both passenger and freight rail networks. Urbanization and the rising demand for mass transportation are fueling investments in rapid transit and passenger rolling stock. At the same time, increased freight rail activity is driving demand for higher-capacity, more efficient locomotives and wagons.

In India, Indian Railways transported 7.41 billion passengers during fiscal year 2025–2026, up 3.54%. Freight loading also reached a record 1,670 million tons, up 3.25%. Urbanization and growing transportation demands continue to support investments in rapid transit and passenger rolling stock, while freight activity drives the need for higher-capacity locomotives and wagons. Additionally, initiatives for fleet replacement, electrification, and improved energy efficiency are driving demand for electric and electro-diesel locomotives. These factors are expected to sustain market growth through 2033.

For example, in 2024, trains accounted for 7.5% of total passenger kilometers in the EU, an increase from 7.2% in 2023. This marked the first time since 2014 that trains surpassed buses, coaches, and trolleybuses in passenger transport. Rail's share of passenger transport increased by 0.9 percentage points compared to 2014. This rise in rail passenger usage is driving continued demand for metro trains, regional trains, commuter trains, and intercity rolling stock, particularly in countries with high rail utilization such as Hungary, Austria, and the Netherlands.

Rolling Stock Fleet Modernization and Rail Capacity Expansion Support Demand

- Rail operators are investing in fleet modernization to replace aging rolling stock and improve reliability, passenger capacity, energy efficiency, and lifecycle performance across passenger and freight applications. For instance, in September 2026, Alstom and TransPennine Express signed contracts worth more than USD 1.4 billion, including around USD 1.09 billion for 29 battery-electric trainsets. The contract reflects growing investment in fleet renewal through battery-electric and more energy-efficient rolling stock.

- Expansion of urban rail and rapid transit systems is supporting demand for passenger rolling stock as cities seek higher-capacity transportation solutions. In FY 2025/26, Alstom recorded USD 16.7 billion in stock orders, compared with USD 8.80 billion in the previous fiscal year. The company reported orders across Europe, the Americas, and Asia/Pacific. The order growth indicates stronger procurement activity as operators accelerate fleet renewal and invest in higher-capacity, technology-enabled passenger rolling stock.

- Electrification of railway networks is supporting the adoption of electric locomotives, while diesel and electro-diesel locomotives remain relevant on routes with limited electrification coverage. In July 2026, Siemens Mobility signed an approximately EUR 3 billion (approximately USD 3.5 billion) contract with Italo Holding for 26 Velaro high-speed trains, with an option for 14 additional trains and a 30-year service agreement. The contract highlights continued investment in high-speed trainsets to increase passenger capacity and strengthen long-term fleet performance.

- Freight transportation supports demand for locomotives and wagons with higher hauling capacity and improved operating efficiency. Recent rolling stock procurement also includes high-capacity electric traction. In India, Siemens has been advancing the deployment of 9,000 HP electric freight locomotives to support higher-capacity freight operations.

Rail operators and rolling stock manufacturers are prioritizing fleet modernization as a crucial strategy to enhance passenger capacity, freight efficiency, reliability, and energy performance. Aging fleets still require replacement, while new metro procurement initiatives—such as Alstom's Line 18 trainsets in France and various metro car orders in the US—are driving demand for new passenger rolling stock. Additionally, dedicated freight corridor programs and cross-border freight operations are promoting the acquisition of modern locomotives and freight wagons, including Siemens Vectron locomotives for European freight operators.

As electrification expands, electric locomotives are gaining prominence; however, diesel and electro-diesel locomotives remain important for routes where electrification is limited. Thus, the near-term market is influenced by fleet replacement, metro train procurement, demand for freight locomotives and wagons, and the adoption of electric and alternative-propulsion rolling stock, rather than a single technological transition.

Rapid transit expansion and fleet modernization are increasing the demand for metro rolling stock.

Rapid transit trains are becoming increasingly important as cities expand their urban rail networks to tackle rising traffic congestion, reduce carbon emissions, and promote economic growth. Investment in new metro and regional rapid transit systems is driving the demand for modern trainsets that offer higher passenger capacity, improved energy efficiency, and reliable operations.

For example, in August 2026, India's Ministry of Railways announced plans to manufacture 238 AC EMU rakes for Mumbai's suburban railway, with production scheduled to begin in 2027 and the complete order expected to be fulfilled by 2030.

The adoption of advanced propulsion, train control, and automated operating technologies is also shaping rolling stock procurement. Operators are increasingly focusing on automated operations and enhanced safety features, which include automatic train control, real-time monitoring, driver assistance, and onboard diagnostic systems. Smart onboard technologies are also improving passenger information, connectivity, accessibility, and the overall travel experience.

In June 2026, Siemens received an order from Titagarh Rail Systems to supply propulsion systems and Train Control and Monitoring Systems for 12 trains for the Pune Metro extension. Furthermore, Alstom's 52 Movia metro trainsets entered revenue service in September 2026 as part of the latest phase of the Indore Metro, with all trains manufactured in India.

Conventional locomotives are supporting established freight and regional applications.

Conventional locomotives remain essential for freight and regional rail operations, particularly where operators depend on reliable propulsion systems for established routes and conditions. Demand for these locomotives is driven by fleet replacement, heavy-haul operations, and continued use on routes where existing traction configurations remain effective. Manufacturers are enhancing conventional locomotives with upgraded traction performance, improved fuel efficiency, advanced braking systems, and better onboard monitoring and control technologies. These enhancements aim to improve locomotive performance without necessitating a complete transition to alternative propulsion systems.

The market for conventional locomotives is projected to grow from USD 9.12 billion in 2025 to USD 11.92 billion by 2033, reflecting a 3.4% CAGR. This moderate growth rate indicates a mature market; however, the substantial existing fleet and ongoing replacement needs continue to ensure a stable revenue base. As a result, conventional locomotives remain crucial for manufacturers serving established freight and regional markets, even as battery, hydrogen, and dual-mode technologies are being explored in select applications.

Europe drives electro-diesel locomotive demand through fleet renewal and route flexibility.

Europe is an important market for electro-diesel and dual-mode locomotives, as freight and passenger services operate on both electrified and non-electrified routes. This has created demand for locomotives that can seamlessly switch between electric and diesel traction without changing locomotives. A key example is Stadler's EURODUAL, which combines electric and diesel traction on a single platform. This locomotive supports freight operations in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, and Turkey. In April 2026, Stadler also received approval for EURODUAL operations in Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia, further extending its reach across Central and Southeast Europe.

Interest is growing in more flexible and efficient locomotive platforms. Stadler has delivered EURODUAL locomotives to various European freight operators, including Havelländische Eisenbahn in Germany, where they operate on both electrified and non-electrified routes. This design lets operators avoid changing locomotives when transitioning between different traction environments, enhancing operational flexibility in freight services.

Technology is also evolving to include battery-supported propulsion. For instance, in 2025, NEXRAIL ordered up to 200 EURO9000 panto battery hybrid locomotives from Stadler.

Nyobolt's Battery Technology Enables Digit 5 to Work More Than 20 Hours in a 24-hour Day

SALEM, Ore. and CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Agility Robotics, a leading humanoid robotics and physical AI company, today announced that Nyobolt, a pioneer of high-power, ultra-fast charging solutions, is the technology provider to Agility. The technology powers one of Digit® 5's most significant upgrades: a fast recharge battery system that enables Digit to work more than 20 hours in a 24-hour day.

Agility recently unveiled Digit 5 as its first humanoid robot designed for cooperatively safe work at scale, allowing it to work in close proximity to people. As part of its upgrades, Digit 5 will feature a new battery system that delivers 90-minutes of runtime and charges in just 9 minutes, achieving a 10:1 run-to-charge ratio, up from Digit 4's 2:1 ratio. This rapid charge capability is designed to keep Digit working, enabling more than two shifts in a single day and helping customers get more from each robot.

"For our customers, Digit's uptime is the business case," said Daniel Diez, Chief Business Officer of Agility Robotics. "Digit 5 will deliver more than 20 hours of productive work in a 24-hour day, more than two full shifts. That's the kind of gain that materially improves the value customers get from Digit and the economics of deploying a humanoid robot fleet. Nyobolt's ultra-fast charging technology gets us there, and it's one of the pieces that makes Digit 5 ready for full-scale operation."

Nyobolt's unique high-power battery technology is built for demanding industrial conditions, combining fast charging, exceptional cycle life, and reduced system weight. By removing the power bottleneck that has historically constrained autonomous robot fleet economics, the system addresses a key constraint on robot utilization: downtime. The result is a compelling potential advantage for Digit 5 customers, who can target longer operating windows, more productive shifts and more demanding task sequences. Combined with Agility's experience deploying humanoid robots in real commercial environments, this battery performance is designed to strengthen Digit's value proposition for warehouse, distribution and manufacturing operations.

"Nyobolt's technology was chosen because Digit 5 will need more power from a smaller, lighter pack, in environments where reliability isn't optional," said Sai Shivareddy, Co-founder and CEO at Nyobolt. "Agility set an exceptionally high bar for what a battery has to withstand in live warehouse and manufacturing environments, and this partnership shows what's possible when ultra-fast charging is engineered for the toughest conditions in physical AI."
