IGEL Expands Endpoint Options for Healthcare and Industrial Environments with Teguar Hardware

Independent Leadership Council Groups Surpass $10 Million in Funding

Independent Leadership Council

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Independent Leadership Council (ILC), a national organization co-founded by Heather Manchin, Adam Brandon and Seth Cohen to support independent leaders in Congress, along with its related PAC, announced today that it has raised more than $10 million since its launch in July, demonstrating growing momentum and support for an alternative to the two-party gridlock that has come to define American politics.

The funding comes from a broad coalition of Democrats, Republicans and independents united by a shared conviction: the political system no longer reflects the people it serves. Nearly half of Americans identify as independent or unaffiliated, and in 106 congressional districts and 16 states, unaffiliated voters outnumber voters registered with either major party. Yet today, not one member of Congress was elected as an independent and governs without caucusing with either party. That is an extraordinary disconnect between the country and the people representing it.

The ILC believes this convergence of growing independent identification, deep dissatisfaction with both parties and historically narrow congressional margins has created a unique opening for independent leadership. In a closely divided Congress, it doesn't take dozens of independents to change the dynamic. It only takes a few members of Congress to shift the balance of power away from the parties and to the people.

"We have seen what can happen when neither party can take a consequential vote for granted, and Senator Manchin brings invaluable lived experience of exactly that to the leadership of this effort," said Adam Brandon, co-founder of the Independent Leadership Council. Brandon continued, "For years, Americans have said they want better choices. We want  to prove those choices can win and go on to make a real difference. A few true independents in a closely divided Congress can shift meaningful leverage away from party leadership and back toward the people, demonstrating an entirely new model for governing. Surpassing $10 million gives us the resources to begin proving it."

Heather Manchin added, "Independent leadership isn't about standing alone. It's about having the freedom to think independently and the leverage to bring both sides to the table. We aren't trying to replace the Republican Party or the Democratic Party, and we aren't building another party. We're creating the conditions for leaders to answer to the people who elected them instead of the political machinery that too often determines who runs, who wins and how Washington governs." Manchin continued, "We fully expect to double our current number in the weeks ahead as the candidates we support demonstrate that they can win and will change the way Washington operates by refusing to caucus with either party."

The ILC's mission rests on three commitments: restoring fair competition to a political system currently controlled by two parties that protect incumbents over voters; supporting leaders willing to find real solutions instead of engaging in partisan gridlock; and holding elected officials genuinely accountable to the people they serve, not to party leadership.

In the coming weeks, the ILC and Independent PAC will announce support for a slate of independent candidates running for the U.S. House and Senate, with the strongest opportunities coming out of the West and Midwest. What unites these candidates is not ideology, but a shared commitment: each is pledging not to caucus with either party once elected. In addition, each candidate has expressed a willingness to work to find common-sense solutions to the challenges facing America today and has a viable path to victory.

The ILC was launched in July following a national convening at The Greenbrier in West Virginia, bringing together leaders, funders, and independent candidates from across the country under a shared platform focused on fair competition, common-sense solutions, and government accountability.

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Shareholder rights law firm Robbins LLP reminds investors that a class action was filed on behalf of all persons and entities who purchased or otherwise acquired Aardvark Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: AARD) (a) common stock pursuant to the Company's February 13, 2025 initial public offering ("IPO") and/or (b) securities between February 13, 2025 and May 14, 2026 (the "Class Period"). Aardvark is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that focuses on developing small-molecule therapies designed to inhibit hunger and treat metabolic diseases such as Prader-Willi Syndrome ("PWS"), a neurodevelopmental disorder condition that presents hyperphagia, or a feeling of extreme, insatiable hunger.

The complaint alleges that Aardvark misled investors regarding the viability and efficacy of its lead drug candidate ARD-101.

Investors who suffered significant losses during the Class Period may be eligible to participate in the lawsuit and should contact Robbins LLP for information about becoming lead plaintiff.

Listen to our podcast.

Why Was Aardvark Therapeutics Sued?

The complaint alleges that the Company's lead product candidate is ARD-101, which defendants have repeatedly described as a "gut-restricted" small-molecule agonist of certain TAS2Rs expressed in the gut lumen. To evaluate the effect of ARD-101on hyperphagia-related behavior in patients with Prader-Willi Syndrome, defendants commenced both a Phase 3 clinical trial, referred to as the HERO trial, and an open-label extension.

The Offering Documents in support of the IPO informed investors that the preclinical data concerning ARD-101 "suggest that ARD-101 shows potential to be a well-tolerated, satiety-inducing drug."

Notwithstanding, the complaint alleges that defendants failed to disclose that:

ARD-101 was less safe than defendants had led investors to believe;

accordingly, ARD-101's clinical, regulatory, and commercial prospects were overstated; and

as a result, defendants' public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times.

Why Did AARD Stock Drop?

The complaint alleges that on February 27, 2026, Aardvark issued a press release "announc[ing] it is voluntarily pausing the Phase 3 Hunger Elimination or Reduction Objective (HERO) trial." Aardvark attributed the decision to "reversible cardiac observations at above target therapeutic doses found during routine safety monitoring in a healthy volunteer study" and said that it "has voluntarily paused ongoing enrollment and dosing in the HERO trial" while "conducting a comprehensive review of the data to inform next steps." On this news, Aardvark's stock price fell $7.02 per share, or 56.2%, to close at $5.47 per share on March 2, 2026.

Then, on May 14, 2026, Aardvark issued a press release "announc[ing] that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has placed a full clinical hold on its investigational new drug application (IND) for ARD-101 related to the Company's previously announced voluntary pause." The press release specified that "[t]he clinical hold applies to all ongoing clinical studies under the IND, including the Phase 3 HERO trial (AVK-101-301) evaluating ARD-101 for the treatment of hyperphagia in patients with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and the Phase 3 open-label extension (OLE) trial (AVK-101-302)." On this news, Aardvark's stock price fell $2.16 per share, or 32.1%, to close at $4.57 per share on May 15, 2026.

Who May Be Eligible to Participate in the AARD Class Action?

The lawsuit seeks to represent investors who purchased or otherwise acquired

AARD common stock pursuant to the Company's February 13, 2025 IPO; and/or

AARD securities between February 13, 2025 and May 14, 2026

Investors who suffered losses during that period may have legal rights under the federal securities laws.

What Is a Lead Plaintiff?

The lead plaintiff is a court-appointed investor who represents the interests of all class members throughout the litigation. Serving as lead plaintiff is not required to share in any potential recovery. Investors who do not seek appointment may remain absent class members if the case proceeds and later resolves successfully.

Stockholders who wish to seek appointment as lead plaintiff must do so by October 13, 2026.

Does it cost anything to participate?

No. Robbins LLP represents investors on a contingency fee basis.

NEW YORK, Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- This press release provides shareholders of Cohen & Steers Closed-End Opportunity Fund, Inc. (NYSE: FOF) (the "Fund") with information regarding the sources of the distribution to be paid on August 31, 2026 and cumulative distributions paid fiscal year-to-date.

In December 2021, the Fund implemented a managed distribution policy in accordance with exemptive relief issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The managed distribution policy seeks to deliver the Fund's long-term total return potential through regular monthly distributions declared at a fixed rate per common share. The policy gives the Fund greater flexibility to realize long-term capital gains throughout the year and to distribute those gains on a regular monthly basis to shareholders. The Board of Directors of the Fund may amend, terminate or suspend the managed distribution policy at any time, which could have an adverse effect on the market price of the Fund's shares.

The Fund's monthly distributions may include long-term capital gains, short-term capital gains, net investment income and/or return of capital for federal income tax purposes. Return of capital includes distributions paid by the Fund in excess of its net investment income and net realized capital gains and such excess is distributed from the Fund's assets. A return of capital is not taxable; rather, it reduces a shareholder's tax basis in his or her shares of the Fund. The amount of monthly distributions may vary depending on a number of factors, including changes in portfolio and market conditions.

At the time of each monthly distribution, information will be posted to cohenandsteers.com and mailed to shareholders in a concurrent notice. However, this information may change at the end of the year because the final tax characteristics of the Fund's distributions cannot be determined with certainty until after the end of the calendar year. Final tax characteristics of all of the Fund's distributions will be provided on Form 1099-DIV, which is mailed after the close of the calendar year.

The following table sets forth the estimated amounts of the current distribution and the cumulative distributions paid this fiscal year-to-date from the sources indicated. All amounts are expressed per common share.

NEW YORK, Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- This press release provides shareholders of Cohen & Steers Infrastructure Fund, Inc. (NYSE: UTF) (the "Fund") with information regarding the sources of the distribution to be paid on August 31, 2026 and cumulative distributions paid fiscal year-to-date.

In addition, the Fund's Average Annual Total Return for the five-year period ending July 31, 2026 is set forth below. Shareholders should note the relationship between the Average Annual Total Return with the Fund's Current Annualized Distribution Rate for 2026. The performance and distribution rate information disclosed in the table is based on the Fund's net asset value per share (NAV). The Fund's NAV is calculated as the total market value of all the securities and other assets held by the Fund minus the total liabilities, divided by the total number of shares outstanding. While NAV performance may be indicative of the Fund's investment performance, it does not measure the value of a shareholder's individual investment in the Fund. The value of a shareholder's investment in the Fund is determined by the Fund's market price, which is based on the supply and demand for the Fund's shares in the open market.

NEW YORK, Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds purchasers of securities of Photronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLAB) between December 10, 2025 and May 27, 2026, inclusive (the "Class Period"), of the important September 4, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline.

So what: If you purchased Photronics securities during the Class Period you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement.

What to do next: To join the Photronics class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/photronics-inc/join or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email case@rosenlegal.com for information on the class action. A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than September 4, 2026. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation.

Why Rosen Law: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually handle securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered billions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs' Bar. Many of the firm's attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers.

Details of the case: According to the complaint, defendants provided overwhelmingly positive statements to investors while, at the same time, disseminating materially false and misleading statements and/or concealing material adverse facts concerning the true state of Photronics' high-end product pipeline, customer schedules, and the stability of the alleged demand for its products; notably, that the seasonal recovery and design release momentum following the Chinese New Year holiday, which Photronics was claiming would develop, had stalled. Photronics was experiencing a critical bottleneck in its design release pipeline that rendered its forward growth expectations unachievable. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

To join the Photronics class action, go to https://rosenlegal.com/cases/photronics-inc/join   or call Phillip Kim, Esq. toll-free at 866-767-3653 or email case@rosenlegal.com for information on the class action.
