Frankfurt (Oder) (ots)

Klinikum stärkt mit rund 6 Mio. EUR Investition medizinische Versorgung in Ostbrandenburg

ONTARIO, Calif., Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern California's Ontario International Airport (ONT) has again been recognized as a Great Place To Work, earning the prestigious workplace designation for the fourth consecutive year based on overwhelmingly positive feedback from employees.

The certification reflects the results of the 2026 Great Place To WorkTrust Index Survey, conducted in July, in which 93% of employees said ONT is a great place to work. Overall, employees rated the airport 86% positive across the survey's workplace culture model, which measures trust, pride and camaraderie.

"This recognition means the most because it comes directly from our employees," said Angela Lauber-Conroy, senior vice president and chief people officer for the Ontario International Airport Authority. "The culture we've built together is rooted in trust, respect and a shared commitment to excellence. When employees feel valued and empowered, they deliver exceptional experiences for our passengers, airline partners and the communities we serve. That connection has been a defining part of ONT's success."

The survey also highlighted exceptionally strong marks in several key areas:

99% said people celebrate special events together.

97% said new employees are made to feel welcome.

96% said ONT provides a physically safe workplace.

95% described ONT as an enjoyable place to work.

The annual survey is conducted by Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience and leadership behaviors proven to drive business performance.

The recognition comes during a milestone period for Ontario International Airport as it celebrates its Decade of Local Control. Since returning to local ownership in 2016, ONT has grown from 4.3 million annual passengers to more than 7 million while earning national recognition for customer service, operational excellence and innovation.

Critical IT capacity expected to increase more than five times from approximately 1.5 MW to approximately 8 MW by year-end 2026

Right of first refusal on an additional 12.5 MW expansion opportunity at the Midwest site provides potential pathway to more than 20 MW of total critical IT capacity, resulting in 13x increase to existing capacity

Expansion expected to support approximately 3,000 additional latest-generation GPUs across two U.S. data centers

$33 million private placement secured to fund expansion plans; expected to increase pro forma cash and cash equivalents to approximately $55 million compared to $22 million reported as of June 30, 2026

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Corvex, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOVE), an engineering-led AI computing platform specializing in secure, GPU-accelerated infrastructure for AI workloads, today announced a more than fivefold increase in its critical IT power capacity, with the ability to scale to 13 times its current critical IT power capacity. The expansion involves doubling capacity at the Company's existing Mid-Atlantic data center and establishing operations at a second existing enterprise-scale data center in the Midwest. Together, the deployments are expected to increase Corvex's critical IT power capacity from approximately 1.5 MW today to approximately 8 MW by the end of 2026. Both sites are expected to be ready for service in the fourth quarter of 2026. The Company anticipates generating revenue from these expansions starting in the first quarter of 2027.

The deployments are expected to bring approximately 2,000 latest-generation GPUs online at the Midwest site, with approximately 1,000 additional GPUs at the Mid-Atlantic site. Both clusters have been designed around published vendor reference architectures for these platforms and will be made available as bare metal or with a managed Kubernetes orchestration layer.

Corvex has secured a right of first refusal on an additional 12.5 MW of critical IT power capacity at the Midwest site, which is anticipated to be ready for service in the third quarter of 2027, and will market that capacity to prospective customers. The expansion can be designed around a customer's needs. If Corvex exercises its right of first refusal and contracts for that capacity, total critical IT power capacity could exceed 20 MW. This expansion is subject to, among other things, capital availability, customer commitments, equipment delivery, utility energization and local permitting, and there can be no assurance that this expansion will be pursued or completed.

"The scarce input in AI infrastructure is energized power inside a finished building. We have secured more than five times as much of it, with the right to scale to more than 20 megawatts in 2027," said Jay Crystal, co-CEO and co-founder of Corvex.

Corvex recently commenced discussions with potential customers to match this new capacity with demand from its existing pipeline and new customers introduced through partner co-selling initiatives. Based on initial discussions and current market conditions, the Company believes there is an opportunity to secure multi-year, take-or-pay commitments at prevailing market rates for long-term GPU-as-a-Service contracts. These arrangements may also include high-throughput storage and CPU compute services, creating additional revenue opportunities beyond GPU capacity. There can be no assurance that any customer agreement will be entered into, or that any such agreement would be on the terms, at the pricing or of the duration described above.

Corvex has executed definitive agreements for both the Mid-Atlantic expansion and the new Midwest site. Both deployments sit within existing enterprise data center facilities with live utility power, which can shorten deployment timelines and reduce development risk relative to greenfield construction.

The expansion will be funded with proceeds from a private placement of common stock and Series D Preferred Stock ("PIPE") led by Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Morgan Stanley and Oppenheimer & Co. acting as Joint Lead Placement Agents. The transaction is expected to generate approximately $33 million in gross proceeds, before fees and expenses. Corvex entered into a securities purchase agreement with strategic institutional and accredited investors to issue 4.258 million shares of as-converted common restricted stock at a purchase price of $7.75 per share. The transaction is expected to close on or about September 2, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Corvex intends to use the proceeds to fund the expansion of its critical IT power capacity and continued development of its Amplified AI Cloud platform, Token Factory and Assured AI offerings.

A portion of the PIPE proceeds will accelerate development of the Corvex Token Factory offering, currently in closed alpha. The Corvex Token Factory is being designed to give customers reliable, scalable access via API to high-performing open-source models, all with a zero data retention policy and operated on a platform that is SOC 2 Type II certified, with support for HIPAA compliance. Proceeds will also fund continued development of Assured AI, the Company's secure computing platform designed around a zero-trust architecture that is built to protect privacy-sensitive inference requests and customer model weights. Corvex plans to integrate Assured AI into its Token Factory to offer differentiated privacy and security.

"As inference volumes grow, enterprises are paying much closer attention to the cost of serving AI at scale. Token Factory is built to address that cost by offering near-frontier performance on most enterprise workloads at a fraction of the price per million tokens of frontier proprietary models," said Seth Demsey, co-CEO and co-founder of Corvex. "The differentiation will be in the infrastructure and security layer beneath the API. Integrating our Assured AI security capabilities directly into the inference platform gives customers a way to combine lower-cost inference with greater control over sensitive prompts and model weights."

About Corvex, Inc.

Integration helps security teams distinguish trusted users from potential threats and act with greater confidence

AUSTIN, Texas, NEW YORK and LAS VEGAS, August 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) and CLEAR (NYSE: YOU) today announced a strategic partnership that integrates CLEAR1, CLEAR's secure identity platform, with the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform. Together, CrowdStrike and CLEAR connect threat detection with high-assurance, person-based verification, designed to enable organizations to verify the human behind unusual activity and make more informed security decisions.

As attackers increasingly exploit legitimate credentials and trusted access pathways to blend into normal digital activity, establishing trust in the person behind a valid account or recognized device is more important than ever. By combining the Falcon platform with CLEAR1, companies can verify the device, the human, and stop identity-based attacks.

"Identity is at the center of how organizations operate and how adversaries attack. Bringing CrowdStrike and CLEAR together gives customers a new way to put high-assurance person-based verification to work as part of their security strategy," said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike. "This is what the Falcon platform is built for – bringing the best technology and intelligence together to help customers stop threats, reduce complexity, and move their businesses forward."

CLEAR1 uses a multi-layered approach to establish confidence in a person's identity, which includes capturing biometrics and government-issued identification and verifying it against authoritative sources. Through integrations with CrowdStrike capabilities, including Falcon® Next-Gen SIEM and Charlotte Agentic SOAR, organizations can incorporate person-based verification directly into existing security workflows without adding unnecessary friction.

In practice, the integration connects Falcon's risk detection with CLEAR1's person-based verification. When Falcon detects potential risk, it will trigger CLEAR1 to verify the human in real time and incorporate that result alongside other security signals to inform whether activity should be allowed, investigated or blocked. By correlating identity verification data with signals across the Falcon platform, security teams can uncover suspicious patterns that might otherwise appear legitimate when viewed in isolation.

"At CLEAR, we've spent more than 16 years building technology that helps establish confidence in a person—not just a credential, account or device," said Brett Romanoff, EVP of CLEAR1. "Together with CrowdStrike, that verification is now available when security decisions are being made. By verifying the person when risk emerges, organizations can make more informed decisions while keeping trusted users moving."

The integration is available for existing CrowdStrike and CLEAR1 customers to begin activating today.

LightSolver is pioneering pure photonic computing, bringing a new computing architecture to the public markets to address the speed, energy and heat limitations of semiconductor-based computing

LightSolver has developed the world's first Laser Processing Unit™ (LPU™), combining the advantages of classical and quantum computing in a compact platform that operates without cryogenic or other extreme conditions and is designed for commercial deployment.

Commercial validation is underway with global leaders across mission-critical industries, including Boeing, a top-tier global financial institution, leading defense companies, oil and gas and energy companies, and leading engineering software organizations.

LightSolver's LPU™ is designed as a new computing layer alongside CPUs and GPUs, targeting computationally intensive workloads across scientific simulation, engineering, optimization and Physical AI.

LightSolver is advancing toward commercial availability of its LPU™ platform in 2028.

REHOVOT, Israel, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CollPlant Biotechnologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CLGN) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire LightSolver Ltd. ("LightSolver"), an Israeli deep-tech company pioneering a fundamentally new computing architecture based on lasers. The acquisition is expected to close this week.

LightSolver - Illustration of future LPU Unit

CollPlant is acquiring LightSolver utilizing an equity-centric consideration structure comprising upfront closing shares, alongside pre-funded warrants and milestone-based warrants directly tied to LightSolver meeting specific technological and commercial objectives.

LightSolver has developed the Laser Processing Unit™ (LPU™), an all-optical working computing platform that uses the physical interaction of lasers to perform computation. Rather than relying exclusively on electronic transistors to execute mathematical operations and move data between processing and memory, the LPU™ maps mathematical problems onto an optical system in which large numbers of variables can interact simultaneously.

By using light itself as the computational medium, the LPU™ is designed to perform massively parallel computation with exceptional speed and energy efficiency.

LightSolver's quantum-inspired architecture captures certain advantages of physical, highly parallel computation in a room-temperature platform while avoiding many of the practical constraints associated with quantum computing.

Targeting the Most Demanding Computational Problems

LightSolver is targeting some of the world's most computationally demanding problems, using its LPU™ to accelerate large-scale linear systems, optimization and PDEs-the mathematics powering everything from robotics and Physical AI, weather prediction to plasma physics, chip design, new materials and drug discovery, and real-time mission-critical decision-making.

From Technology Validation to Commercial Deployment

LightSolver has moved beyond fundamental research into real-world validation with leading global organizations.

Boeing: LightSolver recently announced a strategic financial and engineering partnership with Boeing (NYSE:BA). This funded engagement focuses on developing and adapting LightSolver's LPU™ technology to accelerate complex physics-based aerospace simulations. Specifically, the collaboration targets degradation-driven structural effects that govern asset lifespan and maintenance planning, addressing multi-trillion-dollar lifecycle challenges by executing simulations orders of magnitude faster than traditional GPU clusters.

World leading SW Engineering tools: LightSolver is working with some of the world's leading engineering software and technology companies to bring its photonic computing technology to mission-critical simulation workloads, including advanced mechanical design, structural analysis, fluid dynamics and multiphysics simulation. These collaborations are aimed at demonstrating a new level of speed and efficiency for computationally intensive engineering and Physical AI applications.

Design Partners: Major aerospace and defense sector entities are utilizing the company's platform to solve heavy computational optimization and simulation problems.

These partnerships demonstrate the wide-ranging, high-impact commercial viability of LightSolver's technology across mission-critical sectors as it approaches full market integration.

Executive Commentary

"We are excited to announce this transformational acquisition of LightSolver, which opens an extraordinary new growth vector for CollPlant in the high-performance photonic computing and supercomputing space," said Yehiel Tal, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of CollPlant, "While entering the photonics market, CollPlant remains fully committed to regenerative medicine and medical aesthetics. To this end, we are actively pursuing strategic collaborations with global leaders interested in advancing, integrating, or otherwise leveraging our technology and capabilities," Mr. Tal added.

Dr. Ruti Ben Shlomi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LightSolver, commented, "Computing is reaching an inflection point. We believe the next great leap will come not from making transistors smaller, but from changing the very medium of computing - from electrons to light - unlocking a new era of speed and energy efficiency.

We have turned that idea from fundamental physics into a working machine. As we move toward commercial availability, our ambition is for the LPU to become a new computing layer alongside CPUs and GPUs - compressing computational workloads that can take minutes, hours or even weeks into milliseconds of LPU computation." Dr. Ben Shlomi added.

Eran Rotem, Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer of CollPlant stated, "This transaction marks CollPlant's entry into a market with massive growth potential, executed through a highly disciplined approach to capital allocation. Our goal is to support the continued development and commercialization of LightSolver's technology while creating a new strategic growth opportunity for CollPlant."

First participant dosed in Phase 2 RENGEVITY-201 study evaluating pegrizeprument (VEL-101) in kidney transplant recipients

Pegrizeprument is being developed as a novel maintenance immunosuppressive therapy for the prevention of organ rejection in transplant recipients

This clinical milestone reinforces Veloxis' leadership and long-standing commitment to innovation in transplantation

CARY, N.C., Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Veloxis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Veloxis), a global specialty pharmaceutical company part of Asahi Kasei Corporation, today announced that the first participant has been dosed in its Phase 2 clinical trial [NCT07290777] of pegrizeprument, a novel investigational maintenance immunosuppressive agent being studied for prevention of organ rejection in kidney transplant recipients.

"Advancing pegrizeprument into a Phase 2 study is an important clinical milestone for Veloxis and brings us one step closer to offering a potential new innovative therapy in a field where opportunities for meaningful innovation remain significant. We're grateful to the participants, investigators, and study teams making this trial possible," said Carl Kraus, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Veloxis.

The Phase 2 study, RENGEVITY-201, is a randomized, multicenter, partially blinded, active control trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of pegrizeprument compared with tacrolimus in the prevention of organ rejection in patients undergoing kidney transplantation. Up to 120 de novo kidney transplant recipients will receive rATG with corticosteroids and mycophenolate as maintenance therapy and will be randomized 1:1:1 to receive either pegrizeprument (one of two doses) or tacrolimus. The primary objectives of the study will evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of pegrizeprument.

"Our transplant franchise is built on a commitment to advancing care for transplant recipients through both established and investigational therapies," said Stacy Wheeler, Chief Executive Officer of Veloxis. "The continued development of pegrizeprument, together with ongoing investments in transplant-focused innovation, reflects our dedication to addressing important unmet needs and expanding future therapeutic possibilities for the transplant community."

Kidney transplant recipients require life-long immunosuppression, often associated with complex dosing regimens and comorbid toxicities. Despite advancements in post-transplant clinical care, complications of immunosuppression and allograft rejection may negatively impact graft and patient survival. With an estimated 270,000 people living with a functioning kidney transplant in the United States, there remains a significant unmet need for new therapies that address these complications while maintaining adequate immunosuppression.

About pegrizeprument

Pegrizeprument is a pegylated monoclonal antibody fragment that binds to and blocks CD28‑mediated effector-T cell costimulation, without blocking CTLA-4, an important protein found on T cells that naturally helps keep the body's immune responses in check. Pegrizeprument is, therefore, expected to have a dual mechanism of action where in a direct manner, it blocks CD28‑mediated T cell activation, and indirectly, it allows for CTLA-4 mediated immunosuppressive functions. Pegrizeprument is currently being developed for the prevention of acute rejection in solid organ transplant recipients.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted Orphan Drug Designation to pegrizeprument for the prevention of organ rejection in patients receiving a liver transplant in December 2025 and for the prophylaxis of heart allograft rejection in patients receiving a heart transplant in March 2026.

Pegrizeprument, also known as VEL-101 and FR104, was licensed by Veloxis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from OSE Immunotherapeutics in April 2021. As part of the license agreement, Veloxis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. obtained worldwide rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize pegrizeprument for all transplant indications.
