Ascentiz Brings H + K to IFA 2026, Showcasing the World's First Modular Exoskeleton Platform

One wearable base, interchangeable joint modules and an open platform underneath.

BERLIN, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ascentiz is bringing its H and K modules to IFA 2026, showcasing the world's first modular exoskeleton platform: one shared Exo-Belt, interchangeable joint modules and an open software platform designed to expand over time.

Ascentiz-H focuses on hip propulsion for walking, climbing, running and faster-paced movement. Ascentiz-K brings Adaptive Knee Augmentation, combining dynamic knee assistance with sustained active support and load management across flat ground, stairs, climbs and descents. Both use Adaptive Motion Intelligence to recognize changing movement conditions and adjust assistance in real time within the user-selected mode.

Why modular

As consumer exoskeletons move toward multi-joint assistance, the category faces an architectural choice: integrate every capability into one fixed full-leg device, or build a shared platform that can be configured around different movement needs.

"We chose modularity because people do not move in one way or need the same assistance all the time," said Cody Kou, Vice President of Ascentiz. "Different activities place different demands on the hips and knees. We believe wearable robotics should evolve with those needs, rather than lock every capability into one fixed device. Our goal is to build a platform that can keep gaining new capabilities over time, rather than asking users to start over with each new generation."

At the center is the Exo-Belt, which carries the battery, controller and algorithms. It can host H, K or both together, with modules swapped by hand in seconds through the MOLLE quick-release structure. H drives the wearer forward and upward, while K adds adaptive knee assistance, support and controlled braking where knee load and impact increase.

BodyOS: the foundation for what comes next

Running beneath the hardware is BodyOS, Ascentiz's common software and control foundation for modular wearable robotics. Together with AZ-Lock at the mechanical layer and CAN-FD at the electrical and communication layer, it provides a shared framework for H, K and future modules to operate on the same platform.

Open-sourced in 2026, BodyOS is designed to let the system keep growing through software updates, new Ascentiz modules and hardware developed by the wider research and developer community.

Ascentiz will showcase H and K at IFA Berlin, September 4–8, Hall 12, Booth 109.

Pricing and Availability

Ascentiz-H is available now through Ascentiz's store, priced at €1,599 for H Pro and €2,299 for H Ultra.

Ascentiz-K is priced at €2,399 for K Pro and €2,999 for K Ultra, while H+K configurations are €3,599 for Pro Combo and €3,999 for Ultra Combo.

APsystems Achieves Key Safety Milestone with APstorage 261L UL 9540A Test Success

SHANGHAI, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- APsystems has reached a major safety milestone for its commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage portfolio. Under the witness of TÜV Rheinland, the APstorage 261L liquid-cooled storage solution successfully passed the rigorous UL 9540A fire propagation test, demonstrating exceptional fire safety performance. During testing, thermal runaway was fully contained within a single cabinet, with no propagation to adjacent units, exceeding industry-standard safety requirements.

UL 9540A is widely recognized as one of the most stringent safety standards for energy storage systems worldwide. The test evaluates thermal runaway behavior at the cell, module, unit, and installation levels, measuring heat release, smoke generation, temperature rise, and system response to verify resistance to fire and explosion hazards.

Exceeding Industry Standards

The APstorage 261L storage cabinet was subjected to testing under extreme conditions, operating at 100% state of charge (SOC) with its fire suppression system intentionally disabled. Even under these demanding circumstances, no short circuit, fire spread, or explosion occurred, and the cabinet maintained its structural integrity throughout the test.

Key Test Results

- Heat Flux: 0 kW/m² measured near the affected cabinet, significantly below the UL 9540A threshold of 1.3 kW/m², eliminating the risk of adjacent equipment ignition through thermal radiation.

- Maximum Module Surface Temperature: 83.9°C on both the affected and neighboring modules, demonstrating that thermal propagation between modules was effectively prevented.

- Maximum Adjacent Wall Temperature: 30.6°C, only 3.1°C above ambient temperature, confirming an almost negligible thermal impact on the surrounding environment.

At every stage of the test hierarchy, from cell to module to cabinet level, thermal runaway remained fully confined within a single enclosure, successfully preventing any propagation to neighboring cabinets.

Safety by Design

Safety is embedded into every aspect of the APstorage 261L's design. The system features a single-cluster liquid-cooling architecture, maintaining cell temperature variation below 3°C to improve battery longevity while enhancing operational safety.

A comprehensive safety architecture combines:

- 4‑level fire‑protection system

- Active ventilation

- Passive pressure relief mechanisms

Together, these elements create a robust, multi-layered safety framework that protects the system from the cell level through to the complete installation.

Compact, Flexible, and Optimized for European C&I Projects

Beyond its outstanding safety performance, the APstorage 261L has been engineered to support fast and flexible deployment across European commercial and industrial applications.

With a footprint of just 1.3 m², the system features plug-and-play connections for simplified installation and commissioning. Its modular architecture enables seamless parallel expansion across multiple cabinets, making it an ideal solution for industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and solar-storage-charging applications.

Supported by APsystems' extensive European network and a dedicated C&I energy storage warehouse in the Netherlands, APstorage provides local product availability, professional training, and reliable on-site technical support.

As APsystems continues to expand its portfolio of end-to-end energy storage solutions, APstorage remains committed to delivering ever-higher levels of safety, performance, and reliability.

Oktober, beim Festakt in Aachen.

ITP Media Group secures major acquisition of APAC's Heart Media Group sparking international expansion across Asia

The landmark deal in the 40-year history of the Middle East-headquartered business establishes one of the world's leading independently-owned media groups – with the company eyeing further international growth.

DUBAI, UAE, SINGAPORE and KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia , Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ITP Media Group, one of the largest media companies in the Middle East, today announced the acquisition of Singapore-headquartered Heart Media Group, a leading luxury and lifestyle media house. The combined business will now operate in markets home to more than 2 billion people, connecting brands with affluent consumers across the GCC, India and Asia-Pacific.

Adding Heart Media's operations, ITP Media expands to three new international markets: Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Heart Media brands and teams will operate under the ITP Media name, with integration phased to protect editorial identity, client relationships and trust of audiences. It builds on ITP Media's existing operations in India, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, UAE, UK, USA and Qatar.

South East Asia represents one of the fastest-growing markets for the media and entertainment industry, expanding at 6% per year with some markets up to 8.4% (PwC Global E&M Outlook). ITP Media's investment aligns with growing demand amongst wealthy audiences in these regions, increasingly looking for media and luxury brands that serve their interests. Hong Kong has overtaken Switzerland as the top hub for cross-border wealth (BCG Global Wealth Report), while there are more than 4,000 single-family offices across Hong Kong and Singapore, quadrupling over the past five years. Malaysia is anticipated to see a 20% climb in ultra-high-net-worth individuals over the next five years (Knight Frank).

Heart Media's publications – including ELLE, Esquire, Grazia, LUXUO, Men's Folio, NOBLE, WOW (World of Watches) and Yacht Style – cater to these affluent audiences, providing ITP Media with access to new customers.

The group has earmarked investment to support the acquisition, including bolstering existing teams, supporting local economies and creating job opportunities across editorial, digital, design and live events.

These teams will roll-out cross-border digital media, events, gaming tournaments, brand activations and live sporting experiences. Through the group, luxury brands will access a streamlined cross-border platform, enabling advertising and sponsorship opportunities that connect with high-net-worth audiences across multiple markets.

ITP Media Group CEO, Ali Akawi, said: "At its core, ITP Media Group has always been about creating powerful content that connects people. As we look forward, our roadmap is focused on massive global scale. We are committed to a multi-year strategy of expansion and targeted acquisitions to build a media ecosystem capable of reaching billions worldwide. The acquisition of Heart Media Group strengthens our foundation as we scale our platforms, embrace new media technologies and bring world-class storytelling to a truly global audience."

Olivier Burlot has propelled Heart Media Group through annual growth across Asia and will now join the ITP Media Group board. As part of a phased equity transition, he will continue to provide strategic licensing direction of owned and operated products.

Heart Media Group CEO, Olivier Burlot, added: "When we built Heart Media, the ambition was always to give Asia's luxury and lifestyle audiences media truly worthy of them. Joining ITP is the natural next chapter – it takes everything we have created and gives it scale, investment and a bridge into one of the world's fastest-growing luxury markets. I am proud of what our teams across Asia have built and genuinely excited by what they can now do with ITP's reach behind them."

Wilson Lim will continue as Managing Director of ITP Media (Singapore) & ITP Media (Malaysia) with support from current operational, sales and editorial teams, overseeing executive and management duties across the Singapore and Malaysia offices.

ITP's latest acquisition follows the announcement of a 10-year agreement with Time Out to operate Time Out Hong Kong and Time Out Singapore.

Since 1987, ITP Media has grown from a single B2B brand with five staff, to a multinational business with offices across Asia, Europe, Middle East and North America, serving monthly audiences of over 200 million people. With this acquisition, ITP Media now has physical presence in 10 countries with a portfolio of 90 brands.
