Memory Makers Bet on AI Inference as GMIF2026 Wraps in Shenzhen

Shenzhen – September 27, 2026 -- Memory and storage executives from Samsung, Sandisk, Solidigm, Arm and Lenovo converged in Shenzhen on September 23 to argue that AI inference workloads, not training alone, are now the primary driver reshaping storage architecture demand. The 5th GMIF2026 Innovation Summit, co-hosted by the Shenzhen Memory Industry Association (SMIA) and Peking University's School of Integrated Circuits, drew IDMs, controller makers, OSATs, and AI infrastructure vendors under the theme "The Future Built on AI Memory and Storage."

Shanghai – September 25, 2026 -- A retrospective analysis of 102 multiple myeloma patients treated with IASO Bio's FUCASO CAR-T therapy found that patients maintaining sustained minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity showed a median CAR-T cell persistence of 463 days, compared with 272 days in patients who experienced MRD conversion — a gap of roughly 191 days. The data, drawn from the pivotal FUMANBA-1 registration study, were presented as a poster (Abstract No. PA-469) at the 2026 International Myeloma Society Annual Meeting.

Fresenius Medical Care Exits China PD Business, Books €110M Charge

Bad Homburg, Germany – September 25, 2026 -- Fresenius Medical Care will exit its peritoneal dialysis business in China and discontinue local production and sales of its 4008A hemodialysis system, triggering one-time costs of approximately €110 million in the third quarter of 2026.

The charge, tied to impairment, scrappage and termination costs, will be treated as a special item and is not expected to meaningfully affect the future revenue outlook for the China business within the Company's Care Enablement segment.
