SWI Group Joins NVIDIA Cloud Partner Program as Preferred Partner

AMSTERDAM -- September 01, 2026 -- SWI Group, an Amsterdam-listed investment firm with 3.6 gigawatts of electrical capacity across Europe and the United States, announced on August 31, 2026 that it has joined the NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP) program as a preferred partner. The designation places SWI Group in a limited circle of NVIDIA partners with validated AI infrastructure skills. Membership gives the firm access to NVIDIA's reference architectures and validated configurations for rolling out NVIDIA-certified compute capacity as its platform expands.

Half of Temu's European Sellers Add Jobs or Capacity, Survey Shows

Dublin -- CURRENT_DATE -- Half of 152 European merchants surveyed by Temu said they expanded production capacity or hired new staff since joining the e-commerce platform, according to the Temu Small Business Insights Report 2026. The online survey ran in June and July 2026 among sellers in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom. One in three respondents said they expanded into new international markets after starting to sell on Temu, which has opened its Local Seller Program to businesses in more than 35 markets since 2024.

Amgen's Repatha Cuts All-Cause Death Risk 20% in Phase 3 Trial

Samsung Biologics Files CHF 1.46B Tender Offer for PolyPeptide

Incheon, South Korea and Zug, Switzerland -- Samsung Biologics, through its Swiss subsidiary Samsung Peptide AG, published the formal tender offer prospectus for PolyPeptide Group AG, setting a cash price of CHF 44.31 per share and an implied equity value of approximately CHF 1.46 billion. The filing, made in Zug, Switzerland, follows a pre-announcement issued July 20, 2026, and covers all publicly held shares of the peptide-focused contract manufacturer listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The main acceptance period runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 12, 2026.

Niutech Signs Deal With Global Energy Giant on Plastic-to-SAF Pyrolysis Line

JINAN, China -- September 01, 2026 -- Niutech Technology Group Co., Ltd. has signed a sales contract with an unnamed global energy giant to supply an industrial continuous pyrolysis line for plastic waste, the Jinan-based company said Aug. 30, 2026. The line, with a unit capacity of 10,000 to 50,000 tonnes per year, will upgrade one of the client's large-scale refineries to produce hydrotreated sustainable aviation fuel from plastic-waste pyrolysis oil. Niutech called the deal its first entry into the client's equipment supply chain.

HELSINKI -- August 31, 2026 -- UPM-Kymmene Corporation's Extraordinary General Meeting approved a partial demerger on August 31, 2026, clearing the way to spin off a new independent company, WISA Group Plc. Shareholders confirmed the demerger plan signed by UPM's Board on April 29, 2026, and approved WISA's Articles of Association, its six-member Board of Directors, and share-issuance and buyback authorizations for the new entity. Jinan, China -- September 01, 2026 -- Niutech Technology Group Co., Ltd. signed a sales contract with a major global energy company for an industrial continuous pyrolysis line that converts plastic waste into feedstock for sustainable aviation fuel, the Jinan-based firm said Aug. 31, 2026. The system, rated at 10,000 to 50,000 tonnes per year, will retrofit one of the client's large-scale refineries to run the full chain from plastic pyrolysis oil to hydrotreated SAF. ESPOO, Finland -- September 01, 2026 -- S-Transistors, a startup spun out of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, has raised €2.6 million in pre-seed funding to commercialize a new class of superconducting transistors for controlling large-scale quantum computers. Lifeline Ventures led the round, joined by an angel investor, the company announced on Aug. 31, 2026. The capital will fund prototype development for cryogenic signal control, a dedicated cryogenic laboratory, and a manufacturing pilot line for the company's superconducting integrated circuits.
