California Discloses $40.1B in UC, Community College Payroll Data

Cohen released 2025 self-reported payroll data for University of California (UC) campuses and California Community College Districts (CCD), covering 451,244 positions, more than $34 billion in wages and over $6 billion in retirement and health contributions, for total compensation exceeding $40.1 billion.

4,000 Brigham Nurses Set Oct. 14 Strike as MGB Posts $2.3B Profit

Boston – October 02, 2026 -- Some 4,000 nurses at Brigham and Women's Hospital will launch an open-ended strike at 7 a.m. on October 14, 2026, in what the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) calls the largest open-ended nurse strike in state history, unless Mass General Brigham (MGB) agrees to a new contract.
