Africa Business Forum Flags $195B Annual Loss From Resource Abuse

Dakar – – October 02, 2026 -- The fifth Africa Business and Human Rights Forum closed in Dakar, Senegal, with more than 1,100 delegates from 45 African countries pressing governments and companies to convert human rights commitments into enforceable business practice, as the continent loses an estimated $195 billion annually to environmental degradation, illicit financial flows and unsustainable resource use.

European Firms Score 58.2/100 on SDGs, Lag on Climate Action

New York – September 25, 2026 -- European companies participating in the UN Global Compact posted an average sustainability contribution score of 58.2 out of 100, according to the second edition of the European Private Sector SDGs Stocktake released around the United Nations General Assembly.
