Geneva – October 02, 2026 -- Verisure is expanding its AI-powered GuardVision Outdoor video detector to more customers, bringing advanced outdoor protection to 12 of its 18 markets.

The device is the first of its kind to combine certification with embedded AI

GuardVision Outdoor is the world's first EN50131 Grade 2-certified device with embedded Computer Vision AI, according to Verisure. It integrates directly into the company's home alarm system to flag early signs of a threat before someone enters the house, using HD video, infrared night vision, image capture and two-way audio.

New data shows the device can stop break-ins before they happen

Data from some of Verisure's largest markets shows its outdoor security solutions can help prevent more than half of detected intrusion attempts. The AI is built to distinguish between human and non-human triggers, feeding that information to Verisure's 24/7 human-monitored Alarm Receiving Centre for faster verification and intervention.

Twelve countries now have access, with more on the way

The GuardVision Outdoor video detector is currently available in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Belgium and Germany. Norway is scheduled to get the device next month, while Mexico, the Netherlands and the UK are planned for rollout next year.

Verisure poured €170 million into innovation last year

In 2025, Verisure invested roughly €170 million into its innovation and technology capabilities, funding new features, products and service enhancements. The company has also rolled out AI-driven tools including LockGuard and WiFi Vision across its camera and motion-detector lineup.

Austin Lally, Verisure's CEO, said the device reflects how the company uses AI to detect threats earlier and support faster intervention. He added that Verisure's advantage comes from combining proprietary AI, data from trillions of interactions and alarm signals, and 24/7 human monitoring into one integrated service.
