Osaka – October 02, 2026 -- MIMARU Osaka Namba Station Annex opened its doors on October 1, bringing 68 apartment-style guestrooms designed for families and groups to Japan's Namba district. Half the units sleep up to six guests, while the other half accommodate up to four, and every room comes with a kitchen, dining area and in-room washer-dryer.

The property is operated by Cosmos Hotel Management Co., Ltd. under its MIMARU brand, which positions itself as Japan's apartment hotel chain for families and larger travel groups.

A 100-square-meter suite tops the building with a private terrace

The standout accommodation is the Sky Garden Three-Bedroom Suite, a 100-square-meter apartment on the top floor built for six guests. It includes six single beds, three washbasins, two toilets, a bathroom and a separate shower room, plus a private outdoor terrace overlooking Osaka. Room sizes across the property range from 39 to 100 square meters.

The layout lets family members follow different schedules under one roof

Rather than booking separate guestrooms, families can spread out within a single apartment -- one person resting while another gets ready, someone handling laundry and others gathering at the dining table. Mao Mochizuki, International PR at Cosmos Hotel Management, said the design looked beyond bed count to how multiple people actually use an apartment over the course of a day, giving larger families the choice to step back or come together within the same space.

Kids aged 7 and up count toward room capacity

Children aged seven and older are counted as guests when booking, a detail that affects how families calculate group size against the four- or six-person room limits.

The hotel sits minutes from two train stations

MIMARU Osaka Namba Station Annex is five minutes from Nankai Namba Station and six minutes from Nippombashi Station, with Kansai International Airport roughly 50 minutes away by train.
