Palm Desert, CA – October 01, 2026 -- FP Movement, the activewear brand from Free People, has opened a 2,297-square-foot store at The Gardens on El Paseo in Palm Desert, California, on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

The store joins Free People's existing location at the same shopping center

The new boutique sits next to Free People's storefront, which opened at The Gardens on El Paseo this past July. Together, the two stores expand FP Movement's footprint in the desert community.

Shoppers can browse signature collections including Never Better and Hot Shot

The assortment features high-performance activewear such as leggings, bras and tanks, alongside breathable pieces meant to transition from workouts to everyday wear. Customer favorites including the Happiness Runs and Get Your Flirt On Shorts round out the lineup, along with additional pieces for various fitness and lifestyle needs.

The design features white oak flooring and backlit fitting rooms

The space uses engineered white oak flooring, warm white and soft pink finishes, and a clean backdrop to set off the brand's colorful merchandise. Five curtained fitting rooms include backlit mirrors and adjustable lighting, while a common area offers a large wall-mounted mirror. A straight wood tambour cashwrap, an acrylic iridescent Bhutti logo, and two TVs playing rotating video content complete the interior.

Store hours run Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. FP Movement now operates 97 stores nationwide, in addition to online sales through fpmovement.com and wholesale partnerships with retailers including DICK'S Sporting Goods.
