Vancouver – October 01, 2026 -- MiniTool Software Limited has launched MiniTool Video Converter 6.0, adding video cutting, video merging, and GPU acceleration to its Windows-based multimedia tool.
Users can now split videos into segments and trim unwanted parts
The new cutting feature lets users split videos into segments, remove unwanted sections, and trim the start or end of a clip. Edited clips can be exported separately or combined into a single file. The tool supports input formats including AVI, 3GP, VOB, WebM, WMV, MP4, MOV, FLV, MKV, MPG, MPEG, MXF, M4V, TS, F4V, M2TS, and ASF.
Multiple clips can be merged into one file with transitions added
MiniTool Video Converter 6.0 also supports merging multiple videos into a single file, with editing options for individual clips such as cutting, trimming, and adding transitions. The merging feature accepts formats including AVI, 3GP, VOB, WebM, WMV, MP4, MOV, FLV, MKV, MPG, MXF, M4V, Xvid, OGV, and DivX. Merged files export in MP4 format at 1080p.
GPU acceleration speeds up processing of large, high-resolution files
The update introduces GPU acceleration management, offloading video processing tasks to the GPU to improve speed for conversion, compression, transcription, enhancement, cutting, and merging. The company says this makes better use of a computer's hardware resources, particularly when handling large or high-resolution videos.
A redesigned home page centralizes access to the app's tools
Version 6.0 adds a new home page offering quick access to Convert Video, Compress Video, Cut Video, Merge Video, Video Enhancer, and Intelligent Subtitle functions.
Several bugs affecting audio and response times have been fixed
The release fixes software response delays in some scenarios and resolves missing audio after video conversion on certain devices. MiniTool also optimized Instagram downloads to retrieve only video content, excluding non-video items.
