FOSTER CITY, Calif., Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Bertram Capital ("Bertram") announced today the completion of the sale of its portfolio company Tactacam ("Tactacam" or the "Company") to GTCR. The transaction represents the first exit from Bertram Capital Fund V, the firm's 2023-vintage flagship fund. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Billings, Montana, Tactacam is a pioneer in cellular-connected camera technology for the outdoors. The Company's flagship REVEAL brand is a category-leading line of cellular trail cameras trusted by hunters and land managers nationwide. The Company's Defend brand extends the same cellular platform into property security, delivering live-view monitoring of homes, gates, barns, job sites, and other remote locations without the need for Wi-Fi, wiring, or professional installation.

"On behalf of the Bertram team, we want to thank and congratulate the founders and employees of Tactacam on this milestone," said Ryan Craig, Partner at Bertram Capital. "They have built a business with consistent revenue growth, expanding market share, and a scalable model that positions them well for continued growth. We are proud to have partnered with the founders and executive leadership team, who worked tirelessly to build an exceptional company and product."

Jeff Drazan, Managing Partner at Bertram Capital, noted, "Our successful investment in Tactacam was made possible by excellent teamwork between the Bertram Capital and Bertram Labs teams. The data science team at Bertram Labs, led by Billy Mateker, played an integral role in helping our investment team gain conviction in the company and helping the firm understand the business's potential."

"We decided to partner with Bertram when they offered us something no one else would, a true 50/50 partnership," said Jeff Peel, Founder and CEO of Tactacam. "They supported us when we needed them to, such as by helping us hire key executives, and gave us the freedom to execute on our plan to build the business. Additionally, the employee incentive plan we jointly implemented provided a generous mechanism to reward our employees for their hard work. The Tactacam team appreciates Bertram's effort and support along the journey."

Bertram would like to thank the team at J.P. Morgan for serving as financial advisor to Bertram and leading the Tactacam sale process. Latham & Watkins served as legal counsel to the Company, and Ashurst Perkins Coie served as legal counsel to Bertram's entities.
