Austin – September 29, 2026 -- RVshare has announced the winners of its fifth annual Campers' Choice Awards, known as "The Campies," naming top campgrounds and RV content creators across 16 categories after a public voting process that closed September 22.

Nominations opened this summer and finalists were set by August 25

RVshare, the RV rental marketplace, opened nominations earlier this summer and closed them on August 25, when three finalists per category advanced to a final public vote. Thousands of voters then weighed in before the September 22 deadline. This year's ballot added a new category, the Fan Favorite Award, decided through social media voting.

New Bern KOA Holiday and RV Out West Podcast each took two titles

New Bern KOA Holiday won both Best Campground Features and Amenities and Best Waterfront Campground. RV Out West Podcast won Best RV and Camping Podcast and also claimed the new Fan Favorite Award. Other winners include Gulfport Luxury RV Resort for Best Luxury RV Resort, Las Cruces KOA Holiday for Best Campground Views, and Verde Ranch RV Resort for Best Family-Friendly Campground.

Additional category winners: Coachella Lakes RV Resort (Best Winter Escape Campground), Savannah Lakes RV Resort (Best Pet-Friendly Campground), Buckeye Ranch RV Resort (Best New Campground of 2026), Dwell Lake Havasu RV Resort (Best Alternative Camping Experience), and Brighton / 401 KOA Holiday (Best Summer Escape Campground).

Thousand Trails Yosemite Lakes won Best National Park Campground, while Myrtle Beach State Park took Best State Park Campground. In the creator categories, Gills On Wheels was named Best RV Travel Content Creator of the Year, and KOA Camping Blog won Best RV and Camping Blog.
