Canton, Ohio – September 24, 2026 -- Liberty HealthShare has logged 24 consecutive months of year-over-year enrollment growth, with sign-ups through August 2026 running nearly 56% ahead of the same period in 2025 and more than double 2024 levels.
The Christian healthcare sharing ministry, based in Canton, Ohio, positions itself as an alternative to traditional health insurance for individuals and families managing rising medical costs.
Members' monthly costs have dropped for two straight years
In June 2026, Liberty HealthShare cut sharing contributions for family programs by an average of 16%. The ministry also returned more than $2 million to members during this period, even as national healthcare expenses continued to climb.
"Twenty-four consecutive months of year-over-year enrollment growth tells us that more Americans are looking for affordable ways to manage their healthcare costs and finding value in the Liberty HealthShare ministry," said CEO Dorsey Morrow.
The ministry saved members $259.3 million in 2025 through bill repricing
Last year, members submitted nearly 205,000 medical expenses totaling $385.4 million. Through discounts, negotiations, and repricing, Liberty HealthShare says it cut those original charges by more than 67%, saving members $259.3 million. The community shared $87.4 million in eligible medical expenses during the same period.
Suggested monthly shares range from $87 to $362 for individuals
Liberty HealthShare offers six medical cost-sharing programs. Suggested monthly amounts run from $87 to $362 for individuals, while family programs start at $319. Most programs include eligibility for urgent care and mental wellness telehealth visits, along with prescription drug discounts.
The ministry holds a 4.5-star rating on Google, a 4.6-star rating on Trustpilot, an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and a four-star rating from Charity Navigator. It has also received a Gold Seal of Transparency from Candid and a "Give with Confidence" designation from MinistryWatch.
As a healthcare sharing ministry rather than an insurance provider, Liberty HealthShare allows year-round enrollment without requiring a qualifying life event. The organization does not guarantee that members' medical bills will be paid, and members remain liable for any unpaid bills regardless of whether sharing contributions are received.
