Hanoi – September 23, 2026 -- Greenfield Dental, a clinic in Hanoi, Vietnam, has seen international patient volume grow over 300% since 2025, as rising dental costs in Western countries push patients abroad for care.
Western dental prices keep climbing while Vietnam holds steady
In the United Kingdom, the majority of dental practices have stopped accepting new NHS patients, and private fees have risen over 20% since 2022. In Australia and the United States, implant costs increase 8% to 12% annually, pushing full-arch procedures out of reach for many uninsured patients and retirees. Vietnam, by contrast, maintains annual price increases of only 3% to 5%, with patient savings of up to 80% on implants. The country now ranks as the second most popular dental tourism destination for Australians and among the top three in the Asia-Pacific region.
An Australian patient saved nearly 70% on a full-arch procedure
Australian patient David Carver had received domestic quotes of up to USD 70,000 for a full-arch All-on-6 Straumann restoration on both jaws. At Greenfield, he received the same Swiss-made Straumann implants and clinical protocols for under USD 18,000, a savings of nearly 70%.
Treatment plans include travel time built around Hanoi's tourism sites
Greenfield's program includes complimentary remote consultations, ground transportation, accommodation coordination, and a multilingual team. Treatment calendars include rest days between appointments, and roughly 70% of international patients use the downtime to visit sites such as Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, or Sapa. Some patients return for follow-up visits paired with longer trips, including the Ha Giang Loop.
International patients from 15 countries now make up 40% of the clinic's caseload
Patients from 15 countries account for 40% of Greenfield's total patient base, with a 90% referral and return rate. The clinic uses CBCT 3D imaging, iTero digital scanning, and T-scan Novus technology to verify restorations, standards that founder and CEO Dr. Ta Hong Nhung requires for every patient. "Many of our patients say they came for the savings but stayed for the quality," Dr. Ta said, adding that the clinic uses the same international implant systems and digital protocols as leading clinics worldwide.
Greenfield's clinical team trained at Hanoi Medical University, ranked No. 1 among medical schools in Vietnam.
