KC Current to Pack 18,000 Fans Into Stadium and New Riverfront Zone

Kansas City – September 23, 2026 -- The Kansas City Current will host its largest crowd in club history on Sunday, Oct. 25, expanding CPKC Stadium capacity to 12,000 while opening a new adjacent viewing area for 6,000 additional fans.

A new Grounds Pass lets fans watch from outside the stadium for $10

The event, called One Current 2026: Bigger Home. Bigger Future., introduces the Current Landing Grounds Pass, a first-of-its-kind ticket priced from $10 that lets fans experience matchday just steps from CPKC Stadium. Standing Room Only tickets inside the stadium cost $20. Current Club members can buy up to four Grounds Pass tickets with a complimentary reserved seat in the Current Landing bleachers through Oct. 1, while seating lasts.

"One Current is a celebration of the unified spirit of our fans, our city and the incredible momentum behind this club," said KC Current President Raven Jemison, adding that the expanded capacity and new Current Landing district reflect the organization's growth trajectory.

The match doubles as Fan Appreciation Day and the regular-season home finale

The Oct. 25 game marks the Current's final regular-season home match of 2026 and its Fan Appreciation Match, arriving as the team pushes toward the playoffs. ESPN will be on-site for the 4 p.m. CT kickoff. The first 10,000 attendees across both the stadium and Current Landing will receive an exclusive KC Current flag, and a limited number of stadium fans will get the club's second-ever bobblehead, with details to follow.

The riverfront day continues into Sunday Night Football

After the match, fans can stay in Current Landing for a watch party of the Kansas City Chiefs-Seattle Seahawks Sunday Night Football game, kicking off at 7:20 p.m. CT. Chiefs alumni and legends will join pregame festivities, turning the riverfront into a full day of Kansas City sports.

Current Landing will feature a DJ, food trucks, beverage and ice cream stations, retailer specials from partners including Revel and Providence Pizza, and match viewing on screens throughout the district. A KC Current pregame show and podcast taping will also take place in KC Current Studios. On-site parking will be available for purchase, and organizers are encouraging fans to use walking, biking or the KC Streetcar to reach the stadium, with further transportation details to be shared closer to the event.
