Traverse City, Mich. – September 22, 2026 -- RADwood, the automotive festival celebrating '80s and '90s car culture, returns to the San Francisco Bay Area on Saturday, October 24, with its first free-to-attend evening event, running from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gold Bar Hangar in Alameda, CA.
Attendance is free with advance registration, a change from the event's typical $25 ticket price. Hagerty Drivers Club members get early entry at 3 p.m.
A new driving exhibition puts iconic cars at full-throttle
The show, presented by Goodyear, introduces Wheels in Motion, a demonstration featuring era-defining cars performing flybys against the San Francisco skyline backdrop. Hundreds of period-correct cars, trucks and motorcycles will be on display at the historic Alameda Point venue.
Hagerty CMO Marc Burns said the event was built for driving enthusiasts who want real experiences and community, adding that organizers made it free and added full-throttle cars for 2026.
Vehicle classes expand to include cars from the 2000s
Featured categories include Kei Cars, Tuners, Movie Cars and Mustang vs. Camaro. For the first time, RADwood is adding a "Millenia" class, spotlighting vehicles from 2000 to 2010, marking the brand's expansion beyond its traditional 1980-1999 focus.
Pioneer will serve as the official sound partner, providing period music throughout the show. Bay Area food trucks will provide hospitality, and attendees can compete in the signature Raddest Dressed contest, judged on period-correct attire.
Show car owners can register vehicles ahead of the event
Vehicle owners and entrants are invited to register their cars through the RADwood website. Organizers say celebrity guest appearances and additional enthusiast-focused content will be announced in the coming weeks.
