Mississippi Gulf Coast Goes Full Halloween With 10 Spooky Events This October

Biloxi – September 19, 2026 -- Coastal Mississippi is rolling out 10 Halloween events across its 62 miles of shoreline this October, turning beach towns in Jackson, Harrison and Hancock counties into a monthlong trick-or-treat trail.

A 40,000-square-foot haunted warehouse anchors the season

Terror on the Coast returns to Gulfport from Sept. 18 through Oct. 31, offering Hollywood-caliber sets, live actors, food trucks and a full bar inside its massive warehouse space.

Nearly 500 costumed "witches" take over Ocean Springs on Oct. 24

The Witches Ride of Ocean Springs sends participants through downtown on decorated bikes, golf carts and on foot, with proceeds supporting local animal welfare groups. The same day, Bay St. Louis hosts its own Witches Walk in Old Town, filling boutiques and galleries with shopping specials, contests and photo ops.

Family-friendly festivals fill three weekends in October

Biloxi's Fall Fest at Towne Green (Oct. 17) and Kroctoberfest at the Salvation Army Kroc Center (Oct. 23) both offer free costume contests, food trucks and live music. Gulfport's Boo Bash (Oct. 24) brings trunk-or-treating and games to the Sportsplex soccer fields, while Brick or Treat at TrainTastic (Oct. 31) closes out the month with LEGO-themed building activities.

A parade of classic cars and a candlelit string quartet round out the calendar

Bay St. Louis marks its seventh annual Boo in the Bay Parade on Oct. 17, with decorated golf carts, Jeeps and classic cars tossing candy through Old Town. In Ocean Springs, the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Arts Center hosts Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics on Oct. 23, a string quartet performance of scores from Halloween, Psycho, Ghostbusters and Beetlejuice.

A gala and a funk-rock band bring nightlife options for adults

The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence holds its 16th annual Moonlight Masquerade gala at White Pillars Restaurant & Lounge in Biloxi on Oct. 17, with proceeds benefiting survivors of domestic violence in South Mississippi. On Oct. 29, funk-rock band Here Come the Mummies performs at Studio A inside IP Casino Resort & Spa in Biloxi.

Judy Young, CEO of Coastal Mississippi Tourism, said each community across the three counties brings its own personality to the season and encouraged visitors to extend a Halloween trip into a longer coastal getaway.
