Hivelocity Launches Bare-Metal Gaming Bundle for Live Service Titles

Tampa – September 15, 2026 -- Hivelocity has launched the Hivelocity Gaming Bundle, a dedicated bare-metal infrastructure package targeting studios that run live service games and want to avoid paying cloud rates for elasticity their always-on workloads never use.

Bundle targets three fixed layers of game infrastructure

The offering is structured around Engineering Compute for build farms, CI pipelines and asset processing; Production Compute for account systems, authentication, leaderboards, in-game commerce and matchmaking; and Live Service Compute for latency-sensitive match servers, persistent world-state systems, voice services and anti-cheat infrastructure.

Studios can access 10 Gbps unmetered ports to absorb patch traffic spikes

Hivelocity said content-heavy titles face major bandwidth cost pressure from large patches and seasonal updates that move massive data volumes in short windows, and the bundle's high-capacity network options are designed to support that sustained traffic.

Hivelocity draws a hard line between infrastructure and operations

The company supplies single-tenant bare-metal hardware, regional placement near player populations, network connectivity and transit, and network-level DDoS protection. Studios retain control of matchmaking, fleet orchestration, anti-cheat operations, application security and live-ops uptime. Hivelocity said a hybrid pattern combining bare metal for tick-rate-sensitive engines with cloud for burst and GPU workloads is preferred by most organizations.

Fleet management runs through myVelocity portal, APIs and Infrastructure as Code

Studios can manage deployments via the myVelocity portal, public APIs, and IaC, with identical operations available in code as in the console. Hivelocity holds a SOC 2 Type II attestation for its core facilities, and a PCI-validated facility foundation is available at its Tampa sites, with further expansion underway.

"Hivelocity's Gaming Bundle is built for studios that want more control over the infrastructure behind their live games," said Ned Pope, Chief Product Officer at Hivelocity. "Game teams already own the player experience, the matchmaking logic, the fleet orchestration, and the live operations model. We give them dedicated hardware, predictable economics, regional placement, and engineering support so they can run that stack with confidence."

The Gaming Bundle is aimed at studios already running their own server orchestration that have committed to a tick-rate target and need single-tenant bare metal, regional placement, and state persistence that shared infrastructure cannot reliably provide.
