Austin, Texas – September 11, 2026 -- LumApps has appointed Sébastien Cano as Chief Executive Officer effective December 1, 2026, handing the top job to a 20-year enterprise software veteran as founder Sébastien Ricard shifts to Executive Chairman.

Cano brings two decades of enterprise software leadership to the role

Cano previously held executive positions at Thales and Gemalto, where he led global business expansion for technology companies. He steps into the CEO role at LumApps, a vendor whose employee experience platform serves more than 10 million users worldwide and is integrated with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Ricard retains strategic influence as chairman after founding the company

Ricard, who founded LumApps and has served as CEO for more than a decade, will remain involved in the company's long-term strategy in his new chairman role. The transition places day-to-day operational control with Cano while Ricard focuses on board-level direction.

New CEO prioritizes Workhub product roadmap amid AI-driven workplace shift

Cano said his priority will be accelerating the company's roadmap toward its Workhub offering and enabling employees to extract value from it as artificial intelligence reshapes workplace processes. He will operate from the company's U.S. headquarters in Austin, Texas.

LumApps has been named a Leader in intranet solutions by both Gartner and Forrester, and operates dual headquarters in Austin, Texas, and Lyon, France. The leadership change comes as the company positions its platform, LumApps AI, as an AI Employee Hub connecting employees and AI agents to handle daily workflows and tasks.
