LX Pantos Completes Cross-Border Missile Logistics for Korea's MAH Program

Seoul – September 10, 2026 -- LX Pantos has completed a cross-border defense logistics project transporting air-to-air missiles (AAMs) from France to South Korea for the Republic of Korea Marine Corps' Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program.

LX Pantos moves missiles under strict explosives classification

The shipment, executed for Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) under a program led by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), involved AAMs supplied by a European defense manufacturer identified only as "M." The missiles were classified as Class 1 explosives, Division 1.2, Compatibility Group E, subjecting them to the strictest security controls under International Air Transport Association (IATA) dangerous goods regulations and national flight safety rules.

Dedicated charter flight carried missiles as sole cargo from Châteauroux to Incheon

LX Pantos organized a dedicated charter flight from Châteauroux Airport in France to Incheon International Airport, with the missiles as the only cargo aboard to maximize security. From Incheon, the shipment moved overland to a Republic of Korea Marine Corps unit in Pohang.

Company secured overflight permits from 14 countries

To complete the multimodal route, LX Pantos obtained overflight permits from 14 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, coordinating the operation through its global network, including European subsidiaries.

Security credentials underpin defense logistics expansion

LX Pantos has been scaling its defense logistics business since receiving an "Excellent" rating in a 2024 security assessment by South Korea's Defense Counterintelligence Command. The company has also attained Assessment Level 3 (AL3), the highest tier under the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX), certifying compliance with stringent global information security requirements.

A company representative said the project demonstrated LX Pantos' advanced capabilities in security, hazard management and logistics, adding that the firm intends to continue supporting global defense-sector clients and expanding its position in the defense logistics market.
