LX Pantos Completes Cross-Border Missile Logistics for Korea's MAH Program

Seoul – September 10, 2026 -- LX Pantos has completed a cross-border defense logistics project transporting air-to-air missiles (AAM) from France to South Korea for the Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program run by the Republic of Korea Marine Corps.

LX Pantos executed the mission on behalf of Korea Aerospace Industries under DAPA oversight

The project was carried out for Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), with the acquisition program directed by South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA). The AAMs were supplied by an unnamed European defense subcontractor and shipped from Châteauroux Airport in France to Incheon International Airport aboard a chartered flight arranged by LX Pantos. From Incheon, the missiles were transported by road to a Marine Corps unit in Pohang.

A dedicated charter aircraft carried only the missiles to meet strict security protocols

LX Pantos chartered an aircraft whose sole cargo was the missile shipment, classified as Class 1 Explosives, Division 1.2, Compatibility Group E — one of the highest-risk hazardous goods categories under international transport rules. The operation required compliance with both IATA dangerous goods regulations and national aviation security requirements.

Overflight clearance from 14 countries enabled the multimodal route

LX Pantos secured overflight permissions across 14 countries spanning Europe, the Middle East and Asia, coordinating the multimodal transport through its global network, including European subsidiaries.

Security credentials underpin the company's expanding defense logistics portfolio

LX Pantos received an "Excellent" rating in a 2024 security assessment conducted by South Korea's Defense Counterintelligence Command. The company has also attained Assessment Level 3 (AL3), the top tier under the TISAX information security framework, certifying compliance with stringent global data-security standards.

A company official said the project demonstrated LX Pantos's security and logistics expertise, adding that the firm would continue supporting defense clients worldwide and expanding its position in the defense logistics market.
