Several of FOTON's light trucks and vans have obtained EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) and VECTO carbon emissions certification for heavy vehicles, clearing regulatory barriers for entry into premium European markets. The CAVAN new-energy brand is now active in 15 European countries alongside Australia and New Zealand.
FOTON runs 32 overseas production facilities across three continents
The manufacturer operates local plants in Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, and has formed a supply-chain joint venture with COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers to secure dedicated maritime capacity for exports. New plants are under construction in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
A regional parts distribution center in Unna, Germany anchors European aftersales
The Unna facility works alongside 18 global parts centers, more than 1,200 sales points and over 1,500 service points to provide 24-hour parts support across Europe.
Hannover show will mark FOTON's 13 millionth global vehicle delivery
At IAA Transportation, FOTON will hold a ceremony for its 13 millionth vehicle delivered worldwide and stage the international debut of the CAVAN BEACON, a heavy truck compatible with both battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell propulsion. The company will also display seven new-energy vehicle models and six self-developed key components covering major European transport use cases.
