Segway's New E-Scooters Win Gold at IFA 2026 Ahead of Europe Launch

Berlin – September 10, 2026 -- Segway has picked up two Gold Awards at IFA 2026 in Berlin for its upcoming eKickScooter models, the ZT3 MAX and the Ninebot MAX G3 Pro, both set to launch in Europe in October 2026.

The ZT3 MAX received the All-Terrain Electric Scooter Technology Gold Award, while the Ninebot MAX G3 Pro won the Long-Range Riding Technology Gold Award. Both prizes came from the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards, handed out annually at IFA, one of the world's largest consumer electronics trade shows. The awards were established in 2014 by the International Data Group (IDG) and the German Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), with continued backing from IFA.

Two flagship scooter families get an upgrade

The MAX G and ZT lines are Segway's flagship eKickScooter families, each built for a distinct riding style. The MAX G series targets long daily commutes, reliability and ride comfort, while the ZT series focuses on off-road capability, stability and secure handling across varied terrain.

The predecessors -- the ZT3 Pro and the MAX G3 -- became two of Segway's best-selling premium eKickScooters across Europe and North America after their respective launches. The new ZT3 MAX and MAX G3 Pro build directly on that track record, adding advances in technology, performance and overall ride experience.

Real-world riding conditions shaped the engineering

Segway says both new models were engineered around actual riding conditions -- from cobblestone streets in European cities to hills, wind and stop-and-go traffic. Rather than optimizing individual technical specs in isolation, the company integrated hardware, software and intelligent control into a single unified riding system.

Full specifications, pricing and availability details will be released alongside the European market launch in October.
