Berlin – September 10, 2026 -- Haier showcased an AI-driven smart home ecosystem at IFA 2026, spanning laundry care, refrigeration, cooking, entertainment, digital services and robotics under the theme "House of Smart Possibilities."
Washing machines and fridges now read real-time conditions
The Vision 15 washing machine uses an internal camera, sensors and algorithms to detect load size, balance and foam levels, then adjusts water volume, detergent dosage, drum motion and program settings accordingly. In refrigeration, Haier's prototype Maestro combines several preservation technologies, while its AI Food Care System 2.0 identifies stored ingredients and recommends storage conditions to reduce food waste.
Ovens and TVs adjust output based on live monitoring
The ID Ultimate Series 6 oven uses an internal camera to recognize food, track cooking progress and stop programs once the desired result is reached. In the living room, Haier's UltraSense AI analyzes content and ambient conditions to adjust picture and sound in real time on Haier Smart TVs. The hOn app ties these connected products and services together across Haier Europe's ecosystem.
Haier's smart home platform already serves over 130 million registered users
According to Euromonitor International, Haier Smart Home ranked No. 1 globally for smart home revenue in 2025. The company's smart home platform logged 86.1 billion smart-scene interactions in 2025 across its user base.
Humanoid robots and an exoskeleton extend AI beyond appliances
Haier's IFA booth also featured humanoid robots interacting with appliances, robotic cleaning systems designed to recognize objects and dirt types, and companion robots offering voice assistance. A Haier exoskeleton uses sensors and algorithms to interpret movement intent in real time, adjusting assistance to support mobility while preserving natural motion.
Haier plans to invest at least €13 billion over the next five years
The investment will focus on foundational technologies including artificial intelligence, semiconductors and IoT security. Haier's open innovation system, called "10+N," links global research resources with local user insights; in the first half of 2026, the company topped the IPRdaily global smart home invention patent list for the 15th consecutive time.
Visitors can view Haier's smart home technologies in Hall 3.1, Booth 101, during IFA 2026 in Berlin, running September 4 to 8.
