Berlin – September 10, 2026 -- TECNO won two Gold prizes at the IFA Global Product Technology Innovation Awards 2026, honoring its ultra-thin modular smartphone and the Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS mini gaming PC.

The TECNO Modular Phone takes Gold for ultra-thin magnetic modular technology

At just 4.9mm thick, the device is billed as the world's thinnest modular smartphone. It uses patented Interconnected Magnetic Connection (IMC) technology, pairing a precision magnetic array with pogo-pin connectors to let users attach interchangeable modules. The main device carries a 3,000 to 4,000 mAh battery, while modules draw their own power for instant use, a design meant to address the tension between growing on-device AI demands and limited hardware space.

The phone has already picked up more than 20 awards from outlets including CNET and Yanko Design, which named it best of MWC 2026, and The Verge, which called it the top mobile tech at the same show.

The Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS wins Gold for miniaturized gaming PC innovation

Built with a roughly 6.36-liter transparent panoramic chassis, the TAURUS blends Italian design cues with compact engineering. It runs an Intel Core i9-13900HK processor alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU rated at 614 AI TOPS and 145W TGP with DLSS 4 support. A liquid cooling system keeps clock speeds stable, and the machine offers 15 ports plus WiFi 6E connectivity. It previously earned a Best of MWC award from Yanko Design.

The IFA Global Product Technology Innovation Awards were established in 2014 by IDG, IFA and DIHK to recognize standout products in the global consumer electronics industry.

The company displayed a concept device featuring a 0mm screen bezel, along with the MEGABOOK T15 360 Pro convertible laptop, at its IFA 2026 booth.
