Berlin – September 09, 2026 -- Hisense unveiled its AI Companion smart home suite at IFA 2026, showing how connected appliances can plan meals, adjust laundry cycles, and manage home energy use automatically.
The AI Companion Refrigerator suggests meals based on stored ingredients
Asking the fridge "What could I make?" identifies stored ingredients and proposes meal ideas based on personal preferences. Once a recipe is chosen, it can sync with the AI Companion Oven for automatic cooking, while the AI Companion Wine Cabinet recommends food pairings and maintains storage conditions. After the meal, the AI Companion Dishwasher checks dish condition and adjusts its wash program accordingly.
Laundry appliances read fabric type to set wash and dry cycles
In the laundry space, the AI Companion Laundry suite identifies clothing characteristics and automatically selects matching wash and dry cycles, letting users simply load the machine.
Living room devices track occupants and energy pricing
The AI Companion Air Conditioner detects ambient conditions and user presence, adjusting airflow as people move through a room. The AI Companion Energy system factors in weather and time-based electricity pricing to optimize household energy consumption.
Hisense joins Amazon's Alexa+ Smart Home AI Toolkit
Through its ConnectLife platform, Hisense is partnering with Amazon to become one of the first appliance brands offering devices connected to the Alexa+ AI assistant via Amazon's new Smart Home AI Toolkit. In the coming months, Alexa+ customers will be able to control select Hisense air conditioners through voice requests, with Alexa+ handling the underlying settings and actions.
Five Hisense products won IFA awards
The Multi Function II series, an all-in-one energy-efficient HVAC solution, received a Winner Award, while the X-zone Master was named an Honoree. The U8 Air Master air conditioner, the kitchen-oriented W60 3D series, and a 60cm built-in wine cabinet were also recognized.
Hisense said the showcased features run on its V AIOS system, which lets devices sense conditions, communicate with users and each other, and coordinate tasks autonomously across the AI Companion suite.
