Injured Enduro Champion Mathias Bellino Returns to Off-Road with Segway SxS

Paris – September 09, 2026 -- French enduro champion Mathias Bellino is starting a new chapter in off-road sport with backing from Segway Powersports, which has provided him with a Super Villain SX20T side-by-side vehicle.

Bellino built a decorated career before a 2018 crash ended his racing.

Bellino won the junior enduro world championship in 2012 and the E3-class enduro world title in 2015. He was also part of the French team that won the junior World Trophy at the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) three years running, from 2011 to 2013. He first rode a motorcycle at age four, moved through motocross, and rose to the top level of enduro competition.

A rally crash in Argentina in August 2018 ended his professional racing career.

During his first rally-raid, the Desafío Ruta 40 in Argentina, Bellino crashed and suffered serious spinal injuries. He had been working toward a long-held goal of competing in the Dakar Rally. The accident ended his competitive career but not his ties to motorsport -- he later returned to the EnduroGP paddock as team manager for Honda ORC.

Segway Powersports is now supplying him with a Super Villain SX20T side-by-side.

The SxS vehicle gives Bellino a new way to engage with off-road terrain, letting him stay focused on the parts of the sport he has always valued: being outdoors, reading terrain, and sharing the experience with others. Segway Powersports frames the collaboration around its "Fear No Place" principle, describing it as support for Bellino's continued pursuit of new challenges rather than an attempt to recreate his past racing career.
