Huion Launches Kamvas Pad 12, an Android Tablet for Artists on the Go

Los Angeles – September 09, 2026 -- Huion has announced the Kamvas Pad 12, a new Android tablet built for drawing, note-taking, and creative work, one year after launching its Kamvas Slate series.

The tablet ships with a battery-free stylus using new pen tech

Unlike the Kamvas Slate series, the Kamvas Pad 12 pairs with the battery-free EMR stylus PW600C, built on Huion's latest PenTech 4.0 technology. The pen attaches magnetically to the tablet for portability.

A 12.2-inch screen runs at 2K resolution and 90Hz

The display measures 12.2 inches with a 2400 x 1600 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, aimed at delivering sharp detail and smooth line work. Its 3:2 aspect ratio suits document reading, and a split-screen function lets users sketch alongside reference images or take notes while reading.

Canvas Glass 3.0 coating targets eye strain and glare

The screen uses Huion's Canvas Glass 3.0 coating, found across the company's third-generation Kamvas displays. A soft-light screen aims to reduce eye strain during long sessions, while a textured surface is designed to mimic the feel of drawing on paper. An AG+AF coating is intended to cut glare and resist fingerprints and smudges.

The tablet runs Android 16 with creative apps preloaded

The Kamvas Pad 12 runs Android 16, which Huion says balances productivity, security, and ease of use. It comes preloaded with a suite of creative apps, including HiPaint, Clip Studio Paint, ibisPaint X, MediBang Paint, and Huion Note, allowing users to sketch or take notes without additional downloads.

An 8-core MediaTek chip powers multitasking

Processing runs on an 8-core MediaTek Genio 720 chip, which Huion says maintains smooth graphics performance even when running multiple apps or working with multiple layers in drawing software.

Huion positions the device for artists who work on the move

The company describes the Kamvas Pad 12 as a lightweight, portable option for pen-display and graphics-tablet users who draw, play, study, or work across different locations. Huion has spent 15 years developing digital creative hardware.
