Berlin – September 08, 2026 -- Hisense has introduced its "Companion Living" concept at IFA 2026, built around a new AI operating system called V AIOS and a set of connected tools named the AI Companion Suite, designed to bring artificial intelligence into cooking, laundry and home climate management.
V AIOS builds on the existing VIDAA operating system
The new platform is structured around four capabilities: perceiving people, devices and surroundings; understanding context and intent; communicating naturally across multiple people and devices; and coordinating content, devices and services to act on a user's behalf.
The AI Companion Suite targets three areas of daily life
In the kitchen, the system links appliances such as the refrigerator and oven, using stored ingredients and dietary preferences to suggest meals and guide the cooking process. For laundry, it identifies fabric types and coordinates washing and drying settings based on individual garment care requirements. In the living space, a device called UR9 acts as a gateway to the connected home, managing airflow and energy use based on occupants and conditions.
Hisense signs its fourth consecutive UEFA EURO partnership
Alongside the home-tech announcements, Hisense confirmed a partnership with UEFA EURO 2028, extending a sponsorship history that includes the 2016, 2020 and 2024 tournaments. The company is also an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Hisense holds the top spot in large-screen TVs, according to Omdia
Founded in 1969, Hisense operates in more than 180 countries. Citing Omdia data covering 2023 through the first half of 2026, the company says it ranks first worldwide in televisions measuring 100 inches or larger, and it continues developing next-generation RGB MiniLED display technology.
