Berlin – September 08, 2026 -- Hisense has introduced its "Companion Living" concept at IFA 2026, showing how artificial intelligence could take over everyday household tasks like cooking, laundry and air quality management.
V AIOS forms the backbone of the new smart home system
The centerpiece is V AIOS, a next-generation version of Hisense's VIDAA operating system built on four AI functions: detecting, analyzing, communicating and acting. The system is designed to recognize users, devices and surroundings, understand context and intent, enable natural communication between people and appliances, and coordinate content and services to carry out tasks automatically.
AI Companion Suite targets cooking, laundry and air quality
Built on top of V AIOS, the AI Companion Suite applies these capabilities to three areas of daily life. In the kitchen, the system can factor in dietary preferences and available ingredients to coordinate the fridge, oven and other appliances, suggest meals and guide users step-by-step through preparation.
For laundry, the same AI approach identifies fabric types and automatically adjusts washing and drying settings for individual garments. In the living space, Hisense's UR9 device acts as a hub for the connected home, managing comfort and energy use by adjusting airflow and room conditions based on occupants' needs.
Hisense extends its UEFA sponsorship through 2028
Alongside its home technology showcase, Hisense announced a partnership with UEFA EURO 2028, marking its fourth consecutive European Championship sponsorship following the 2016, 2020 and 2024 tournaments.
