HiKOKI Launches Cordless Nail Guns Matching Pneumatic Tool Speed

Stuttgart – – September 08, 2026 -- HiKOKI, part of KOKI Group, unveiled a next-generation cordless nail gun platform for Europe that eliminates gas cartridges, hoses and compressors while matching pneumatic-tool firing speed and force. The lineup enters European distribution through independent tool dealers starting November 2026.

New platform fires up to 5.0 nails per second on battery power

The framing models drive up to 4.5 nails per second, rising to 5.0 with a MultiVolt battery, compared with two to three nails per second for most cordless or gas-powered competitors. Trigger response time is 43 milliseconds, which HiKOKI says is the fastest among non-pneumatic nailers and nearly half that of the closest cordless rival.

Tools weigh 3.9 kg, over a kilogram lighter than rival cordless units

The 30–34° framing nailer weighs 3.9 kg with battery installed, making it the lightest 18V cordless nailer in its class and more than a kilogram lighter than the 5–5.3 kg tools most crews currently use. Magnesium-alloy housing, chamber, nose and magazine replace the plastic and aluminum components of the prior generation, cutting fatigue during overhead and repetitive work.

Air Spring Drive System Plus stores compressed air inside the tool

The platform's core technology, HiKOKI's Air Spring Drive System Plus, stores and releases compressed air internally, delivering pneumatic-tool response and force without external compressors or hoses. Bernd Fleischmann, CTO of KOKI Group, said the design pairs the company's existing air-spring architecture with a new Enhanced Lift Mechanism that doubles firing rate versus the prior generation.

Single battery charge drives roughly 700 nails

Each framing nailer fires approximately 700 nails between 50 mm and 90 mm on one charge of an 18V, 5.0Ah battery. Interchangeable magazines let the same tool switch between framing, metal connector fastening and duplex-head nailing.

Three models target framing and metal connector work across Europe

The initial European range comprises the NR1890DCB (30–34° framing, 50–90 mm nails, 3.9 kg), the NR1890DRB (20–22° framing, 50–90 mm nails, 4.0 kg), and the NR1865DKA (33–36° metal connector nailer, 38–64 mm nails, up to three nails per second, 3.9 kg). All three are compatible with HiKOKI's MultiVolt battery system and ship alongside a new fastener line.

Elimination of gas cartridges cuts maintenance and running costs

With no combustion chamber, the tools produce no carbon buildup, exhaust fumes, or need for cartridge purchasing and storage, according to HiKOKI. Peter Vullinghs, President of KOKI Group Europe, called the launch "not an evolution, but a revolution" for professional crews balancing performance and mobility requirements.

Pricing, availability and specific configurations will vary by country, with full technical details to be published on HiKOKI's regional website ahead of the November 2026 rollout.
