BERLIN – September 08, 2026 -- Ascentiz has launched its H and K exoskeleton modules at IFA 2026, introducing what the company calls the first modular exoskeleton platform on the market. The system pairs a shared Exo-Belt base with swappable, joint-specific attachments and an open software layer built to expand over time.
The Ascentiz-H module focuses on hip propulsion for walking, climbing, running and sustained-pace movement. The Ascentiz-K module targets the knee, combining dynamic assistance with continuous active support and load management across flat ground, stairs, and inclines or descents. Both rely on Ascentiz's Adaptive Motion Intelligence technology, which reads shifting terrain and movement conditions to adjust support in real time based on the user's selected mode.
A single belt swaps modules in seconds via military-style fasteners
The Exo-Belt houses the battery, controller and control algorithms, and can hold H modules, K modules, or both simultaneously. Users swap between them manually using a MOLLE quick-attach system, according to Ascentiz. The H system pushes the wearer forward and upward, while the K system manages knee load and braking as impact and strain increase.
"We chose modularity because people don't all move the same way, and they don't always need the same kind of assistance,
