Stuttgart – September 08, 2026 -- HiKOKI, part of KOKI Group, unveiled a new generation of cordless nailers for Europe that eliminate gas cartridges, hoses and compressors while matching pneumatic-tool firing speed and driving force. The three-model lineup will reach independent tool distributors from November 2026, with pricing and configurations varying by country.
New drive system delivers pneumatic-level force without external air lines
The platform runs on HiKOKI's Air Spring Drive System Plus, which stores and releases compressed air inside the tool itself. Combined with brushless motors and MultiVolt battery technology, the system enables trigger response times of 43 milliseconds -- the fastest among non-pneumatic nailers and roughly half that of the nearest cordless competitor.
Framing nailers fire up to 5.0 nails per second, doubling prior generation output
The two new 90mm framing nailers reach firing rates of 4.5 nails per second on standard batteries and 5.0 nails per second with a contactless-cell MultiVolt battery, versus two to three nails per second for most existing cordless or gas-powered tools. A single 18V 5.0Ah battery charge drives approximately 700 nails using fasteners between 50mm and 90mm in length.
Magnesium housing cuts weight to 3.9kg, undercutting rivals by over a kilogram
The NR1890DCB framing nailer weighs 3.9kg including battery, more than a kilogram lighter than the 5kg to 5.3kg cordless tools currently used by most crews. Magnesium replaces plastic and aluminum in the housing, chamber, nose and magazine, reducing fatigue during overhead and repetitive-fire tasks.
Interchangeable magazines and gas-free design target lower operating costs
Compatible strip-nailer models can be reconfigured for framing, metal connectors and dual-head fastening using magazine kits on the same battery platform. Removing gas combustion eliminates carbon buildup, fume-related cleaning, and the need to purchase, store or replace flammable gas cartridges -- a factor HiKOKI positions as relevant for enclosed job sites.
