Wenzhou – September 08, 2026 -- EVB, a supplier of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, announced that its ultra-thin dual-gun DC charger, the BUDC, has won both the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 and the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026.
Charger delivers 150kW output in a 100mm-thick housing
The BUDC provides a total output power of 150 kW while maintaining a housing thickness of approximately 100 mm, addressing space constraints common in European fast-charging DC projects. The flat design allows wall mounting or integration into urban infrastructure, parking facilities, bus and truck depots, and fleet sites.
Dual CCS2 connectors share power via intelligent distribution system
The unit can be equipped with two CCS2 connectors and features an IP65-rated enclosure suitable for outdoor installation. A single connector can deliver up to 150 kW, and when two vehicles charge simultaneously, an intelligent power distribution system allocates the available output between them. Liquid cooling and independently replaceable AC, DC, and control modules are designed to simplify maintenance and support reliable operation.
CEO says design proves compact chargers need not compromise performance
EVB CEO Jundan Wang said the dual award confirms that charging infrastructure can deliver high performance without compromising the space in which it is installed. He said the BUDC was developed to help charging station operators and corporate fleets make more efficient use of limited space while providing reliable, user-friendly EV charging.
Product portfolio spans 3.7kW AC units to 2000kW megawatt charging systems
EVB's DC charging solutions form part of a broader product range extending from 3.7 kW AC chargers to 2000 kW megawatt charging systems. The company's European portfolio includes CE-marked and TÜV-certified models supporting OCPP 1.6J/2.0.1 protocols and the ISO 15118 Plug & Charge standard. Depending on model and project configuration, EVB can also supply MID-compliant energy metering, credit and debit card payment, and contactless payment options for European charge point operators and public charging networks.
