Longwell EC FanWall Cuts CRAH Fan Energy Use 38% for AI Data Centers

Ningbo, China – September 04, 2026 -- Ningbo Longwell Electric Technology Co., Ltd. (LONGWELL) has launched an EC FanWall cooling package that cuts energy consumption in CRAH fans by 38% for next-generation AI data centers, built around its plug-in LWBE3G fan platform.

Longwell compressed a 20-month development cycle into 90 days for a top-three global precision cooling OEM

Working with one of the world's three largest original equipment manufacturers for precision cooling, LONGWELL delivered 12 engineering samples in 35 days and passed design and production validation (DV/PV) testing on the first attempt. The previous European supplier had budgeted 14 months for development plus six months for commissioning; LONGWELL moved from specification definition to mass production in 90 days.

System-level PUE contribution from CRAH units improved from 1.42 to 1.28

Recorded results included a 38% cut in fan energy consumption, a 6.5 dB(A) noise reduction, and zero field failures. The client's first order totaled 1,500 units. Deliveries in 2025 exceeded 80,000 units under a 2025-2027 framework agreement that carries a minimum annual commitment of 60,000 units.

Rack heat density has jumped from 15-20 kW to 60-100 kW in two years

LONGWELL said next-generation AI computing platforms now exceed 100 kW per rack, pushing fan-stage engineering from a component choice to a determinant of whether operators can hit PUE targets. The company's cooling lineup spans LWBE3G EC plug fans for CRAH/CRAC units and LWAE3G EC axial fans for condensers and cooling towers, with Modbus control, automatic N+1 failover, and optional bearing vibration sensors that provide 30-to-90-day end-of-life warnings.

"Above 60 kW per rack, the fan stage is no longer a simple component choice — it determines whether the PUE target can be reached at all,
