Munich – September 04, 2026 -- Huawei gave an early look at its next-generation ambulatory blood pressure watch, the HUAWEI WATCH D3, at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, ahead of its formal unveiling at the company's product launch event in the city on September 2.
Huawei's wrist blood pressure tech dates back over a decade
Huawei entered the sports and health wearables space in 2014 and has since added heart rate tracking, SpO2 monitoring and ECG capture to its devices. In 2021 the company launched the HUAWEI WATCH D, its first wrist-worn ambulatory blood pressure monitor, which received medical device certification in China and the European Union. The HUAWEI WATCH D2 followed in 2024, introducing 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
The D3 measures blood pressure during exercise, not just at rest
The new HUAWEI WATCH D3 is designed to record accurate blood pressure readings even when heart rate is elevated, capturing data before and after workouts and offering recommendations on exercise intensity. The watch has secured CE MDR certification in the EU covering single blood pressure measurements, ambulatory monitoring, and pre- and post-exercise readings. New reminder features prompt users to check blood pressure at high altitudes or during sudden temperature shifts.
The design gets thinner and lighter for all-day wear
Huawei reduced the device's thickness and strap weight for extended comfort, and the WATCH D3 will come in three colorways inspired by nature. Beyond blood pressure, the watch adds expanded Health Glance metrics, health studies, and ongoing improvements to sleep and emotional wellbeing tracking. Huawei notes that data from these features is for reference only and should not be used for diagnosis or treatment.
Huawei has not yet announced the official launch date, pricing or full specifications for the HUAWEI WATCH D3, directing consumers to its official channels for further details.
