Suwanee, Georgia – September 03, 2026 -- Tier-1 automotive supplier YFORE Technology has produced its first digital vehicle key manufactured on US soil, launching localized mass production for the North American market from its Suwanee, Georgia plant.
YFORE localizes production to serve North American OEMs directly
The digital access device rolled off the line under an integrated vehicle-cloud-device architecture designed to meet global alliance standards required by automotive OEMs. The company said the Georgia facility gives it an agile, nearshore manufacturing footprint for supplying global automakers, which it works with in partnership with more than 30 automotive manufacturers worldwide.
New key combines BLE, UWB and NFC into one access platform
YFORE's system merges Bluetooth Low Energy, Ultra-Wideband and Near-Field Communication protocols into a single digital access portfolio built to support multiple mobility use cases.
Bluetooth 6.0 Channel Sounding and UWB cut relay-attack risk
To address industry-wide problems such as approach latency and "ping-pong" lock cycles caused by multipath propagation and body shadowing, the next-generation key uses Bluetooth® 6.0 Channel Sounding paired with UWB technology. Combining Phase-Based Ranging and Round-Trip Time measurement, the system achieves centimeter-level bidirectional spatial precision without relying on cellular networks, reducing exposure to relay attacks.
The architecture extends stable wireless range by up to 30% over conventional systems. It enables hands-free passive entry with activation triggered at 10 meters, passive unlocking at 2 meters, and automatic locking upon departure at 6 meters.
Reused UWB anchors unlock added safety and security features
Beyond vehicle access, YFORE reuses onboard UWB anchors to maximize system efficiency. Software-driven upgrades add radar-based functions including child-presence detection, occupant detection, UWB kick-sensing, and a low-power guard mode for vehicle security and comfort.
Company expands key fob materials and NFC integration options
YFORE also introduced Smart KeyFobs made from ceramic, leather, and glass with matte finishes, alongside a modular NFC access package. The NFC solution supports NFC-enabled smartphones, wearables and key cards, and integrates into B-pillars, exterior mirrors and door handles fitted with capacitive touch sensors. YFORE maintains operations across North America, Europe and Asia.
