Parking Marketplace Maps Huge Gap Between Stadiums Nationwide
Parking Listings Near U.S. Stadiums Range From 18 To Nearly 2,000

Los Angeles – September 03, 2026 -- Parking marketplace Parksy has counted its listed spots within five miles of twelve major U.S. stadiums and arenas, revealing a stark divide between downtown and suburban venues.

Madison Square Garden tops the list with 1,986 listed parking options nearby, followed by Chicago's Soldier Field at 1,583 and Boston's Fenway Park at 587. The numbers drop sharply for stadiums built outside city centers: AT&T Stadium has 107 listings, Allegiant Stadium 96, MetLife Stadium 58, and Miami's Hard Rock Stadium just 18. SoFi Stadium falls in between at 277, out of more than 32,000 spaces Parksy lists nationwide.

Downtown venues inherit existing city infrastructure

Arenas built in urban centers benefit from garages and lots already serving the surrounding city. Suburban stadiums, by contrast, are typically surrounded by residential streets with little to no commercial parking supply nearby.

Driveways represent unused capacity near stadium neighborhoods

Parksy argues the missing supply already exists in the form of home driveways and unused spots. Homeowners near these venues can list their space on the platform for free, with no posting fee, no commission, and no lease paperwork required. Owners set their own price, keep all proceeds, and choose which dates to make the space available.

Founder says the issue is a lack of connections, not spots

Parksy founder Daniel Battaglia said stadium neighborhoods expose parking math at its worst. "Demand arrives eighty thousand cars at a time and supply is whatever the official lot holds," he said, noting the difference is often standing on residential concrete just twenty feet from the sidewalk. He characterized the issue as a shortage of introductions between drivers and available space, not a shortage of parking itself.

Parksy notes the figures reflect its own platform inventory rather than an estimate of total parking capacity near each venue.
