IGEL Adds Teguar's Rugged Hardware for Hospitals and Factories

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida -- September 01, 2026 -- IGEL, the software company behind the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform, announced that Teguar has joined its IGEL Ready hardware ecosystem, with select Teguar models now verified to run IGEL OS. The partnership gives hospitals, factories, warehouses and other specialized workplaces more choices for rugged computers that can securely connect workers to their systems. IGEL is headquartered in Germany with U.S. offices in San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale.

Teguar builds computers for places where a standard office laptop would fail fast. Its lineup includes sealed, waterproof industrial PCs alongside all-in-one computers and tablets built for clinical settings, where devices get wiped down constantly and dropped more often than anyone would like.

Rugged screens meet a locked-down operating system

IGEL OS runs on an immutable architecture, meaning the operating system can't be altered by malware or a careless configuration change on the factory floor. Paired with Teguar's verified hardware, IT teams get a device that survives spills and dust while still resisting common attack methods aimed at endpoints.

The two companies frame the combination as a fix for organizations juggling three needs at once: hardware tough enough for the job site, a secure operating foundation, and the ability to manage every device from one place.

Warehouses and shared hospital workstations get new options

In manufacturing and industrial settings, Teguar's systems are built for conditions well outside a typical office environment. In healthcare, the hardware can be deployed on shared workstations where clinicians log in and out throughout a shift to reach clinical systems and other workflows that call for specialized endpoint equipment.

IGEL's Universal Management Suite lets IT staff push software updates, apply policies and manage device fleets across multiple sites from a single console, which matters for organizations running the same equipment across dozens of locations rather than one office.

Zero Trust access extends to factory and clinical devices

IGEL said the setup supports Zero Trust security architectures by hardening the device layer that access decisions depend on. Once deployed on verified Teguar hardware, IGEL OS can provide a consistent, centrally managed endpoint base for reaching virtual applications, cloud desktops, SaaS tools, browser-based workflows and production systems.

The IGEL Ready program is built to help customers pick endpoint technology and hardware that has already been tested against IGEL's software. Teguar's addition widens the pool of specialized equipment available to organizations rolling out IGEL in healthcare, manufacturing and other environments where off-the-shelf computers don't hold up.
