A century of product experience shapes a curated collection of handmade rugs, fully custom designs and broadloom

QUEENS, N.Y., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Costikyan Inc., established in 1886, today announced the launch of Costikyan Custom Carpet, returning to its roots as a source of fine rugs and carpets in its 140th anniversary year.

The company began as Costikyan Freres, founded by S. Kent Costikyan to bring fine Oriental and antique rugs to American buyers. That heritage has continued through five generations and remains central to its approach to product selection.

For a century, Costikyan has offered handmade rugs, fully custom rugs and broadloom. As one of America's most established rug and carpet sources, the company draws on generations of product knowledge to curate its offerings. Its understanding of client preferences guides a collection selected for quality, design and suitability for each space.

"Our history gives us the judgment to be selective about what we offer," said Greg Garian, CEO of Costikyan Inc. "We understand what clients are looking for and use that knowledge to curate rugs and carpets that suit their tastes and needs."

Clients can choose an in-stock handmade rug, have broadloom cut and finished to their dimensions, or develop a fully custom design with Costikyan's team.
