SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT — The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) announced today that Jennifer Hedrick, CAE, has stepped down as President & CEO, effective Aug. 5.

Hedrick has served as President & CEO since January 2023, overseeing the association's operations, programs, events, and member engagement initiatives.

“It has been a privilege and honor for me to work with this organization, particularly with such a creative and talented team and passionate members and volunteers.  I’m proud of the work we have done to advance the WIT mission and have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity. At this time, I need to focus on family matters, so I am stepping down from this role. I am grateful to have been on this journey and excited for all the continued great things to come for WIT and the community,” said Hedrick.

The WIT Board of Directors will direct the search for the association's next President & CEO. Lana Nichols, WIT’s Vice President, will serve as the interim president and CEO. Additional information regarding the leadership transition will be shared as it becomes available.

"On behalf of the Board of Directors, we thank Jennifer for her service to the association and wish her success in her future endeavors," said Jennifer Plumlee, WIT’s chair of the board of directors and vice president, managed logistics with J.B. Hunt Transport Services. She emphasized that continuity remains important to the association’s success through a seasoned staff that has nearly 50 years collective experience with WIT, an experienced board of directors as well as the support of its partner companies.

The association remains focused on serving its members and the trucking industry through its ongoing programs, events, research, and initiatives while continuing its mission to champion the employment and advancement of women in trucking, foster connections, and recognize achievements.
