Edmond, Okla. – October 06, 2026 -- Citizens Bank of Edmond and ROGER Bank have appointed James Cunningham as Growth Officer, tasking the former USAA strategy executive and U.S. Army combat veteran with accelerating expansion at both institutions.

Cunningham brings McKinsey, JPMorgan and USAA strategy experience to the role

Cunningham joins from USAA, where he served as Head of Military Affairs Strategy and previously as Bank Strategy Director, developing strategies across military engagement, marketing and lines of business. His prior roles include strategy consulting at McKinsey & Company, investment banking at JPMorgan Chase, portfolio strategy at Zions Bancorporation, and business development at Markley Group.

His military-focused product work quadrupled revenue at Military.com

Earlier in his career, Cunningham led the Military Skills Translator at Military.com, quadrupling the product's revenue during his tenure. He also built digital platforms for Hiring Our Heroes, a U.S. Chamber of Commerce initiative connecting veterans and military spouses to employment.
