Sunnyvale, Calif. – October 05, 2026 -- Applied Intuition, Inc. has partnered with Honda Motor Co., Ltd. to accelerate development of the automaker's next-generation software-defined vehicle (SDV) platform.
Applied Intuition's Vehicle OS software will speed Honda's in-house SDV development
Under the agreement, Applied Intuition will deploy its Vehicle OS software to accelerate Honda's internal development of a centralized, upgradable and highly personalized SDV platform. The collaboration pairs Honda's engineering teams with Applied Intuition's software teams across Japan and Silicon Valley to build a full-vehicle SDV platform supporting Honda's next-generation vehicle architecture.
Honda retains control over vehicle architecture while outsourcing software acceleration
Mahito Shikama, Chief Officer, Corporate Strategy Operations of Honda Motor Co., Ltd., said the partnership allows Honda to accelerate internal development while maintaining control over its vehicle architecture and software direction. Applied Intuition's role spans all powertrains, including hybrid vehicles, while aligning with Honda's existing quality, safety and reliability standards.

Applied Intuition co-founder and CEO Qasar Younis said the partnership combines Silicon Valley software practices with Honda's engineering excellence to create a centralized, upgradable vehicle platform capable of scaling to production. The company already holds partnerships with automakers in Europe and the United States, and the Honda deal extends its reach across all major passenger vehicle regions globally.
