Fond du Lac, Wis. – – October 05, 2026 -- Wells Vehicle Electronics has appointed Joe Robinson as President, effective October 15, 2026, succeeding Patrick Sommerfeld, who held the role since 2022.
Robinson Moves Up From Omega Holdings Product Development Role
Robinson brings more than 15 years of automotive aftermarket experience to the position, having most recently served as Vice President of Product Development for Omega Holdings, Wells Vehicle Electronics' parent company. His background spans new product development, product quality and validation, and strategic customer engagement.
Leadership Change Follows Omega Holdings' Acquisition of Wells Electronic Components Business
The appointment comes after Omega Holdings' recent acquisition of the automotive aftermarket electronic components business of Wells Vehicle Electronics, a deal aimed at strengthening the company's position in the vehicle electronics category. Omega Holdings serves more than 3,000 customers across 85 countries with components including air conditioning, turbochargers, and sensors for light-duty, heavy-duty, and off-highway vehicles.
Wells Brand Carries 120-Year Legacy in Automotive Electronics
Wells Vehicle Electronics traces its origins to 1903, when it began supplying electrical components to the emerging auto industry. Under Robinson, the company is expected to continue building on that history while integrating further into the Omega Holdings portfolio.
