Tromsø, Norway – – October 05, 2026 -- Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) and Xoople have signed a partnership under which Xoople will use KSATlite, KSAT's automated Ground Segment-as-a-Service, to support deployment and operations of its satellite constellation.
Xoople selects KSATlite for global data downlink
Xoople will use the global KSATlite network, including newly added sites, to downlink large volumes of Earth observation data and deliver information from space to ground users. KSATlite, launched in 2016, maintains an average contact success rate above 99.8% across missions ranging from single satellites to large constellations.
KSAT adds ground stations and develops new technical capabilities
To meet Xoople's program requirements, KSAT is building new ground station sites and co-developing two capabilities: faster data delivery from ground stations to the cloud, and new service endpoints enabling greater automation for satellite operators. Both capabilities will become part of the standard KSATlite service, extending to other customers across the network.
Xoople builds Earth's System of Record for enterprise and AI applications
Xoople is developing a continuously updated representation of physical change across the planet, combining Earth data, cloud infrastructure and AI to generate operational intelligence for government and enterprise systems.
"Reliable, scalable access to Earth data is a critical part of building the infrastructure behind Earth's System of Record," said Fabrizio Pirondini, CEO of Xoople, adding that the partnership strengthens the data supply chain needed to support enterprise workflows and AI-driven decision-making.
Marte Indregard, President and CEO of KSAT, said Xoople's requirements for faster data delivery and automation are driving development of KSATlite, with enhancements set to benefit future customers across the network.
