Washington – October 05, 2026 -- CHEMTREC has launched a new SDS Management platform that centralizes safety data sheet access, document control and AI-assisted search tools for manufacturers struggling with scattered compliance records.
Platform replaces fragmented paper and spreadsheet-based SDS tracking
The company, which has operated in safety and compliance for more than 55 years, designed the system to eliminate the time teams lose searching shared drives, paper binders and spreadsheets for safety data sheets. The platform combines centralized SDS access, QR code and mobile capabilities, employee self-service tools and streamlined document distribution.
Users can link directly to CHEMTREC's Master SDS Library
Organizations can search CHEMTREC's existing Master SDS Library and connect available documents straight to their company's own library, cutting the effort required to source and maintain individual SDSs. CHEMTREC said the approach supports Hazard Communication compliance and workplace safety programs while reducing administrative overhead.
CEO frames rapid, accurate SDS access as the emergency-response standard
"The gold standard for emergency response is rapid access to an accurate, current SDS," said Andrew LaVanway, Chief Executive of CHEMTREC. He said the platform simplifies that process into "one place, one link, one click."
Multi-site manufacturers can scale the platform across facilities
CHEMTREC built the system to support organizations managing SDS programs across multiple locations, allowing businesses to expand their management program as operational needs change. The platform ties into CHEMTREC's broader Safety Data Sheet Solutions, which customers can pair with the company's existing SDS Authoring services for document creation and maintenance through a single provider.
Existing customers shaped the product through early access testing
Heather Walker, Director of Product Management and Development at CHEMTREC, said early access feedback from existing customers was central to development. Walker said customers reported the platform delivers a more intuitive experience and stronger capabilities than other SDS management solutions they had previously used.
