San Jose and New York – October 05, 2026 -- LeapXpert and Webex by Cisco have launched an integration that lets Webex users message clients on WhatsApp without leaving the collaboration platform, extending governed communication to a user base spanning 95% of the Fortune 500 and roughly 300,000 organizations worldwide.

Integration brings compliant WhatsApp messaging directly into Webex workflows

The new capability, available now on the Webex App Hub, allows employees to sign in with existing Webex credentials on desktop or mobile and engage in text conversations with external contacts on WhatsApp. Every message is screened by data loss prevention controls in both directions, while LeapXpert captures the full conversation for archiving purposes. A Leap Work account and a Webex license are required to use the feature.

LeapXpert and Webex describe the rollout as the opening phase of a broader integration, with additional messaging channels planned for future release. Avi Pardo, Co-founder and Chief Business Officer at LeapXpert, said client conversations have already migrated to messaging channels that enterprises do not control, leaving firms exposed to compliance risk they cannot monitor.

By embedding governed messaging inside Webex, the companies aim to close the visibility gap between regulated enterprise communication requirements and the informal channels clients prefer. LeapXpert's platform is already used by financial services firms, government bodies, and Forbes Global 2000 companies seeking to capture and govern consumer messaging traffic.
